Easter Eggs

I wanted to participate in the "Into Spring! Photo Challenge." I wish that I had little children to to take photos of more often. When I think of Easter eggs, I think of how much little children love to go hunting for them and how much fun it was for me to watch them. Since I no longer have the pleasure of watching little ones collect their eggs on Easter Sunday, I came up with my own interpetation for this weeks challenge.

3 Generations

This week I am posting a photo that I took of my daughter Jennifer, my granddaughters Molly & Darcy and the latest addition to our family........our very first great-grandchild,Grace. I have never taken a photo of an infant before and certainly was in for a surprise of just how difficult it can be. This photo was taken less then 2 weeks ago, Grace was just 17 days old. She did not want one of the pretty head bands with flowers on her head, she did not want to be on her stomach and she wanted her binky. So I did my best with what I had to work with which wasn't much. But I amd very happy to have this photo of my girls. And I will be learning how to take a better photo of our beautiful baby Grace. Snow Photo In B&W

On March 1,2012 we had a snow storm, it was the day my great granddaughter was born.My very first great grandchild. I had planned to be at the hospital with most of the family to welcome baby Grace. But when the snow came down along with an ice storm my plans were changed. I took a photo of a section of our yard and processed it to be B&W for the Back & White wednesday challenge.

I used the cream Shoppe preset and adjusted my brightness and exposure.

My Pandora 2012

It's Black & white Wednesday again. My favorite photo challenge. I am learning lots about taking black and white photographs as well as processing them. I find that I am challenging myself each week to seek out what might make a good B&W photo.

 

I took this photo in the Black and white mode(monochromatic) using my camera. I then used Lightroom to adjust the tone and the exposure. Since my Pandora bracelet is all black and white and silver I felt it would look very cool taking the photo in B&W. I added a little word art to my photo and called it a day. if you woud like to see this photo larger then click on it. However, the photo is a 20x14 and may take longer to load.

Black & White Wenesday

I recently read an article about taking photos in black & white when you want to capture the expression on someones face. That taking the photo in B&W draws the eye right to your subjects face showing the emotion that the person is feeling. Although I took this photo of Aubrey in color I decided to process it in B&W after having read the article. I liked the color photo but I have to say that I am drawn to her face much more in b&W.

A Valentine Photo

A photo I took on Valentines Day of a gift that Wayne gave me. The light was perfect so I grabbed my camera and snapped away.
