A Few Christmas Photos

Wayne and I took lots of photos this Christmas season. Too many photos! So I thought I would share just a few of my favorites.

 Starlights.

 I have taken many photos of a Christmas tree but never tried taking a photo using the starlight technique. What fun I had doing this. I used my 50mm fixed lens, an apeture of f/22 my ISO was set at 160 and my exposure was set at 6.0 I love that my lights look like little stars.

 

 Next up are two photos of our families just days before Christmas.

It was wonderful to be able to spend some time with most of our children and grandchildren.

Lastly, a photo that I took of one of my favorite little Christmas decorations.

Up & Running!

On December 4th our studio officially opened. It took about 3 months to get it all together. I had no idea how much thought, time and effort would be needed to start and finish our project.  There were so many things that needed to be changed and arranged before we could begin taking photos indoors. We still have some tweaking to do and some more items to buy before we can finally say "okay, it's just the way it should be". But for now it's a functional portrait studio.  We had a photo shoot on the day we opened and then another shoot the day after. So we have been busy.

Here are two photos that Wayne and I took of one another before the studio oppened. We were doing a dry run.

I have photos to share with you from last weekend and will post them as soon as possible.  I'm off to finsish up some business, finishing the Christmas cards, wrapping etc....

A Photo Compilation

One early evening in August of this year Wayne and I took a trip to to Ogunquit Beach, Maine. It was here that he and I took our very first silhouette photos. Armed with our cameras we began shooting photos of one and other. Here is the compilation that Wayne made using 2 of the photos from that evening.
