I realized today that I have not posted any more photo's to my blog. So I thought that I would take some time tonight and post a few.
When it comes to nature the first thing that I love to take pictures of are butterflies. My second is of the dragonflies. I took this picture about 2 years ago in my backyard. It came to rest on one of my garden ornaments. Once again I took this photo by using Macro. I did not have my tripod handy so I sat on the ground as close to it as I possibly could get. I put my camera on my knee so that it would be stable and then I began shooting at this glorious winged creature. Camera used was my Rebel SLR.
This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago. Once again, I used Macro to get this shot. I also used my Cannon 40D. Focal Length 300, F-Stop 5.6, ISO 400 and the shutter speed was set at 1/400 of second. I did use a tripod to get this shot.
Okay just this last butterfly picture. I have hundreds of butterfly pictures and I hope to get a few more hundred before summer is up. This was taken the same day the picture above was. The only difference in taking this photo as the one above is that I used a shutter speed of 1/250 seconds and the F-stop was at 6.3.
I have another of these pictures on my other blog but the two adorable Finch's were looking at one another. In this photo they are looking towards something. Wasn't me. :) To take this photo I used a Focal Length of 300 mm, ISO 400, F-Stop 11.0 and my shutter speed was set at 1/50 of a second.
Perhaps next ime I will have some pictures of flowers or of still lifes to show you. Thanks for looking.
Smile. :)
