Ciao! It certainly has been a very cold and very long January. I can not remember a winter where our temperatures have been in the single digits and below zero for as many days as we have had. It truly has been brutal. I'm hoping that February will be much kinder to us. :)
The day after New Years Day we had another snow storm. On this day it was only 3 degrees and the wind was blowing quite a bit. But Wayne was quite the trooper. He went outdoors and did what he had to despite how cold it was. Once again I used the Seasons Mini kit and Taylor Expression words. I love this set. I love keeping my pages simple but using dies helped to dress them up a bit. I like that too. :)
I have put together 4 pages so far for our 2014 PL book for Wayne and I.
I used the mini Holiday kit to make these 2 pages for New Years Eve and New Years Day. I used the words "New beginning" die from Taylored Expressions. Love it. Wayne and I spent our New Years Eve watching the movie "The Family. I love Robert DeNiro.......it was good but there was some violance in it but some humor as well. Wayne and I had snacks to eat and watched the ball come down in Times Square. It was a quiet but nice night. On New Years Day, I made a Roast chicken dinner for Wayne. I had veggies. :) After dinner I went and visited my favorite blogs, hence the photo of Becky Higgins PL blog. It was a quiet and very nice way for the two of us to start off the New Year.
Lastly I have a photo of Gracie 2 days after Christmas. We celebrated Christmas with her, her mommy and my 16 year old granddaughter Darcy. We all had fun watching Grace open her gifts from Santa. It has been many years since Wayne and I have watched a baby open Christmas gifts. She is such a blessing and brings so much joy to all of our family.
Thank you for stopping by to visit with me. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend. And as always stay safe, stay warm and SMILE BIG. :)
Aw! Gracie is so adorable! You are so good at preserving memories. I love the pages you created.

Fabulous pages Mary. The die-cut words are the perfect little embellishments to the journaling cards and photos. Love the picture of sweet Gracie. It was really nice seeing you yesterday! :)

Great pictures and pages, Mary! Love the sweet picture of Grace. How fun you got to watch her open gifts. Your New Year's Eve and Day look very nice! Ours was a bit more "hectic." (But fun!)
