I wanted to take part in the Pals Paper Art card sketch this week. So I decided to to make a card. It took me 3 days to complete my very simple card. I'm happy that I was able to make a card but not happy that the amount of pain that it now causes me to make a card using card-stock, a trimmer and stamping is way more then I can handle. Those of you who who know me know that I have a bad neck, bad back and lots of other things that cause me pain. In order for me to make a card now my options are to continue making one using the MDS program or the all inclusive kits where everything is all cut out for me and stamps are not needed. Which is why I am so grateful that I am able to make digital pages, digital cards and using the Project Life system. I knew that at some point I would be in this position.........well I'm here. Too long of a story. I am grateful and I am blessed.
Okay so here is my card.
All products are from Stampin'UP!
Card-stock: Crumb Cake,Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.
Accessories: Square Latice Embosser folder, Pearls and flowers from SU last year catalog.
Ink: Early Espresso
I also have another Project Life page that I put together for the 2013 project life book that I am making for Wayne and I. I used 2 cards from the Olive core kit. It certainly is a lovely kit.
These photos of Wayne and I were taken when we went to a local breakfast restaurant in our town. Wayne and I have been together for 17 years and this was our first time of going out to breakfast together. It was so nice and I am so glad that I captured the morning and have it in a book so that my children will be able to look back on it and read about it. :)
It is now week 4 of my kitchen reno. The granite counters and sinks are supose to be in by the end of this week. My lights finally came in a few days ago and hope to have the electrican come this week to install them. I am waiting for 2 more upper cupboards to be delivered by August 30th. But I am hoping that the carpenter will be here this week to do the rest of the finish work. It's been a month since I have had any water in my kitchen so it has been tough going at times. After all of that is done we are going to wait 1-2 months to add more cabinets and granite counters. No water or electricity will be involved. A little plumbing.
Here is a photo of one of the lights that I bought 7 weeks ago. They are pendant lights.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Stay cool, stay safe and SMILE. :)

Such a lovely card,Mary. I agree that digital creativity is a wonderful outlet when actual crafting is not possible. Best wishes.

The card is beautiful Mary. Love those roses. I do agree with your other friends however, if it causes you so much pain, stay away from the stamps, cutting and die cutting/embossing. We want you around for a long time so stick to what you can do. Breakfast out is my favorite and I love places that serve breakfast all day. Glad you had the experience. Hang on, the remodel will soon be finished and you'll soon have a lovely kitchen to once again cook in.

I am so glad you were able to make a card, but sorry to hear how much pain it caused you! It's not fair that you have to deal with it. Love the white dry embossed background and the pretty trim. :)
