Just Hanging

I was not able to do any crafting at all for the past 2 weeks. Not even digital pages or cards. But I do have a few photos of what has been keeping me busy. So if you have time and would like to  visit with me then please pull up chair and have yourself  a hot cup of cofee, tea or chocolate.

Wayne & I celebrated our 15th Wedding Anniversary on October 25th. We had a very nice day together. We went shopping, out to dinner (I ate way too much) exchanged gifts and then had some Anniversary cake.  A great day!

 This photo was taken a few weeks ago near to one of  our favorite trees that sits on our land.  It was taken quickly because Wayne wasn't really in the mood to have his photo taken. Still he was a good sport. :)

 

Every year I order a cake for our special day. This year I had the cream made by using the fall colors of the foliage.

The next day I went to the hospital to have an epidural in my neck. All went well but I'm still not certain how much it has helped me and will not know until I am able to do the every day things. So far typing isn't hurting so that's good. :) Regardless of how this turns out I still have to go back in November and again in December for another epidural. Fingers crosssed.

I was busy taking photos in the month of October. Two Senior photo shoots, my sisters family photos, my granddaughter Darcy and her boyfriend photos and of course my great-granddaughter Grace. So I have been very busy editing and making sure that most of them have recieved thier photos.  Here is a collage I did of my granddaughter & her boyfriend Gary.

If you would like to see this photo or any photo that I have posted larger or more clearly please click on it. I hope to share a digi page or card this week and a photo of the new SU trimmer that I  will be geting via UPS this Tuesday. I am hoping that it will be simple to use. I will let you know what I think. :)

To those of you in the northeast good luck with hurricane Sandy. So far it looks as though here in  New Hampshire we will be having lots of wind and rain just not as much as everyone else. My thoughts and prayers are going out to those of you who are going to be directly hit.

It's All Good

It's been a crazy time for me. The days have  been going by so fast that each one has been smacking right into the next one..................seriously! Most days have been good days and these are the days that I wish would slow down. But even the good days have smacked right by me. :) but I digress.

I'm still not able to stamp. I tried..........but no luck. Perhaps soon. I was able to make a digital page, make a simple (very simple) WordArt to share and a collage of a few foliage photos that I took before the rain came and washed away many of the gorgeous colors that we had (in my area)for a brief time.

Ha-ha. Yes, none other then Miss Grace . I have been enjoying making my pages for her book that I am making. Those of you who visit me each time I post a page,know that I use the MDS program from Stampin'Up! and you also know that I love using this program. It is very easy to learn and so easy to use. I made the above collage by using the few photos  of the foliage that I was able to get this fall season. I took all 3 photos in different places of and near to the Soucook river in NH. I also took them on different days at different times of the day.

My Experience UsingThe eBosser

Ciao! First of all the ebosser is a well built machine. And like the Cuttlebug ,the sizzix machines etc..... they all do the same job. The only differences between this machine and the others, is it is not a hand cranked machine. You can feed an 8 1/2 X 11" piece of card-stock through it where as other die cutters may not accomidate that sized paper, cloth etc...... It uses all of the dies that I have such as: Spellbinders, stampin'Up, sizzix, & Cheery Lynn Designs. And other dies I do not have. It used all folders that I have and it came with 3-8 1/2 x 11 embossing folders.It was very cool to see folders that big. It also came with all plates that are needed for you to use the machine.My cost was 199.00 plus 16.99 for shipping.

 

I purchased the machine due to my not being able to use my hand cranked die cutting systems becuase I have a compressed disc in my neck. I thought that buying this machine I would be able to cut out my own dies. However, I never gave a thought to the plates being bigger & heavier then the plates that are used with my other die cutters. Why would I when I was not clear about the fact that the size of the paper that you could use in the machine would be larger. I can not lift very much weight. I Could not make a "sandwich" and could not get the sandwich in or out without bending my neck down.  Which is a no-no. UGH!  If this is a machine that you are thinking about purchasing think about where you will put it. Because it does use electric you have to remember that when the sandwiches comes out it needs a certain amount of room to do so. If you have an upper body disability where weight is an issue you may  want to consider that too. It really is a cool machine. However, under my cirumstance I decided to send it back. If you have this machine I would love to know what you think about it.
