I love DYI projects almost as much as I love stamping. However, making cards for me right now is very difficult. Until I can stamp again I have found other things that I can do. I like being active and I like making things. Right now doing DYI projects are a tad difficut for me so Wayne has been wonderful about helping me. If you have been following my posts then you have seen photos of Wayne and I cooking together. We have been doing a lot of other activities together and it's been great. So here is our very first "Do It Together" project. It's a simple project and I hope you enjoy it.
I saw this lovely birdcage in Michaels a few weeks ago. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it and where I wanted it to hang. They were having a 50% sale so my cost was only 7.50.
I purchased the gray colored bird wall hanger, Antique White Rust-Oleum spray paint, off white chain and hand sanders at Home Depot. I sanded most of the high gloss off but Wayne pitched in and helped with the hard part of the hanger.
I had never used spray paint before so Wayne showed me by spraying some of the hanger. I did the rest and gave it a second coat of paint within an hour of the first coat.
Wayne drilled and measured and then put the the birdcage up on our wall in our bedroom and Voila! Here is a photo of it all finished. I did end up painting the the bird cage because I decided that I wanted it to match the hanger better. I added a little off white ceramic bird that cost me 2.50 on sale at Michaels.
It was great fun doing a project together with Wayne and I am looking forward to doing many more of them with him. We have already started our next DIT project. :)
I would love to hear about one of your home projects that you have done. Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay safe and Smile. :)

Hello my sweet friend! I saw those birdcages but ended up not getting one :C. I love it when you share things that you and Wayne do together....it is good to see that there are couples that do things "together". Thanks so much for sharing and know that I am very happy to see that you are "still" creating!!! Hugs and blessings, Sabrina
