No not like the lyrics to Elton John's "I'm still standing".................more like I'm still standing and I'm grateful that I am. :)
I've had a few lovely ladies write to me and ask if I am doing okay. I said that I would blog about how I am doing and what I have been up to by Monday. Well here it is Monday. :) By the way thank you so much for thinking of me. I appreciate your letters and cards. If I haven't sent you a thank you email yet please know that I will very soon.
I want to keep this as short as possible because I know how busy all of you are and how precious time is. And this is my crafting blog not my personal "what's up with Mary's blog" :)
I have a few different illnesses. One of them is DDD better known as Degenerative Disk Disease. I have a few herniated disks in my back and 2 in my neck. Late last October I noticed some things changing. No need for me to go into detail but the fact is I now have a compression in my neck and a compression in my lower back. Many things have become difficult for me to do like.............stamping, taking lots of photos, shopping, you know the fun things. :) Okay and lots of not so many fun things. I am in the process of fighting with working with my insurance company so that I can have surgery done on my neck. Wayne and I have a new health insurance and it has been different to say the least. So until I get my neck fixed I will not be able to make new cards to share with you. I can make things digitally but I have to take lots of breaks while doing it. So I do have a very simple digital page I made of Wayne using a challenge from Soul Sisters.
But first, I thought that I would share a photo I took of a couple of the things that I do use daily.
Boring right? I do watch TV,check my Facebook every few days and I visit my favorite blogs when ever I am feeling up to it. And I have been posting a photo each week to my photo blog. Well almost every week. Writing what I have not been able to do in the past few months would take too long to write. I did not think that I would miss stamping but I do.
Here is the last digital page that I've made.
I love this photo of Wayne. He has beautiful eyes and such a kind & loving heart. That's what I see every time I look at this photo of him. I used the Stampin UP! MDS program.
I wish that I could type more but it's probably just as well. I am hoping that I will be able to start writing on my personal blog . I am way behind with that blog and that is where I would feel much more comfortable about writing about the journey I am now on.
Thanks for stopping by and again thanks to all of you who have stayed in touch with me. Oh! One last thing, my great-granddaughter will be born in just 2 more weeks. :) My how the time has flown by.
SMILE :)
Thanks for the up-date Mary! I often think of you... praying that you will have that surgery soon! At least the weather is not bad so you don't have to worry about snowstorms and such (although there's something coming this week). Happy Valentine's Day to you and your sweet hubby! Perfect page for him! :o)

Hello my sweet friend!! First let me say I have missed you and I am super sorry that you have to deal with more health stuff! I will remember you and Wayne both in prayer and hope that the insurance will cover the surgery that will relief you of all of that pain! It made my heart smile the other day when I saw a comment from you!! Been going through some stuff myself, so I have not been a good blogging friend at all. Your page of Wayne is as always amazing! Have a fabulous and Happy Valentne's Day! I am sure, knowing what Wayne usually does for you, this one will be special in every sense of the word! Hugs and blessings, Sabrina

Thanks for the update about you. Sorry to hear of your back problems. My husband went through them last fall (didn't require surgery, thank goodness) and our daughter-in-law is going through them now. Surgery has not been ruled out yet. I hope you can get things resolved to do what you need to do. Best wishes!

Wow, so sorry to hear about your neck and back Mary. I hope that things get resolved with the insurance company very quickly so you can have your surgery and get well soon.

Now that I'm finally logged in, I was able to "catch up" on your posts. Oh Mary, my prayers for your healing are being said right now as I type. Please Lord, give my friend Mary the strength of your son Jesus to get thru this difficult time until you can guide the surgeon's hands thru a successful surgery to heal her and let her stamp once again.
I ask this in the name of the Lord,
Amen.
