Hi! Another week down and new one begins. I have lots to share and a few things to write about. I will do my best to keep every thing sweet and short. :)
First up is the card that I made for the PPA 106-Dress For Success challenge.
Here is my card.
Stamps: Happiest Birthday wishes. Card-Stock: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Daffodil Delight. Ink:Real Red. DP: Big Top Birthday. Punch:Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer. Accessories: Daffodil Delight satin ribbon, Red and white bakers twine and designer buttons. All items are from Stampin' Up!with the exception of the red and white bakers twine. The twine can be found at Monika's ETSY shop. Mad Stampers Finds'.
This week I made a page using a Dr. Seuss quote. It was a challenge at Soul Scrappers. I used a photo that I took of Molly right before her graduation.
Although I used the MDS and the PSE programs the only thing that I used from the MDS program is the corner punch. I have no idea whose kit I used. If anyone knows please let me know so that I can give proper credit to the person who designed the embellishments. Thanks. :)
Most every weekend Wayne and I have taken at least one day trip no matter how short the trip is in distance. Two weekends ago we went to see a statue that I saw about 25 years ago and was fascinated by it and the story behind it. Mind you, I have lived only 15 miles away from this satute for the past 14 years! Anyway, Wayne and I went there. I have a few photos to share with you of our big trip. Ha-ha.
Here is one of the many photos that I took of the Hannah Duston statue. if you would like to read the short story about this woman you can go here. Wayne and I enjoyed the peace and quiet, reading what is carved into the base of the statue, watching a few kayaks go by, and taking photos of the old train tracks and tressel. It does not take much for me to have fun. :)
Here is a photo of me playing on the tracks. Well playing as much as I could. I'm not as young as I was 25 years ago. :)
Don't be fooled by my balance. It took me a few times before I could get up on one track and stay up without going over. Good thing they are not very high. Still........I felt like a kid and that was a good feeling.
Here is a photo that I took of Wayne as we were heading out.
And lastly, as we were walking out I had to take this shot!
I like taking photos of people and things from a different perspective.
Just a few more things to share Whew!
I will be taking at least 10-14 days away from my blog after this post. In just 6 days I will be having my family BBQ. That means I will be cleaning, shopping and preparing for it all week. Wayne and I also have a few small things we want to fit in and then I will need a few days to rest up. :) And last but not least I have two things that I made and your welcome to download them if you would like to. Hope you all have a wonderful 2 weeks. Stay safe, stay cool and smile. :)
I made a printable about 2months ago and although it is simple I am really happy with the way that it turned out. I used the SU color Taken with Teal for the background. I made it into a 4x6 put it into a white frame it has been sitting on one of my counters in my craft room. Your welcome to print it out if you like. I had it printed at Target and it cost me 15 cents. A lot cheaper then printing it using my own printer. Thanks Bobbi-Jo for the tutorial.
A little blurry looking here but when printed out it comes out perfectly clear.

I was just thinking about you last evening, wondering how you were as your blogs have been less frequent lately or is that just me?? Summer is going by way to quick. Have a great vacation and enjoy the family. Hugs n' Stuff, Lynne
