This week I have a few things to share with you. I participated in the PPA104-CAS-Elements of Style-Paper Piercing. . I haven't done any paper piercing in a very long time. I kept my piercing very simple because I was afraid that I would mess up. :) In the end I do like my card hope you do too.
Here is my card.
Here is what I used.
Stamps: Button Buddies and Kindness Matters. Card-stock: Very Vanilla,Marina Mist and Early Esspresso. Inks: Early Esspresso. DP:Beau Chateau. Accessories: Whisper White Bakers twine, Marina Mist satin ribbon and Marina Mist designer buttons. A very simple and fun card to make. All products listed are from Stampin'UP!
Here is my page.
I made this page using a challenge from Soul Scrappers. Using photos that I took at Colleen's House Warming party seemed like a great idea. The challenge was to use a grid. Using a grid to make a page is great when you have lots of photos to use. It's also quick and easy to do. Now I have another page all set and ready to go for the book that I am putting together for Colleen. I used the My digital Studio to make my page and I used PSE to make my title.
If you like the title that I made for my page and would like it for your personal use you will find the download at the end of this post.
Last Sunday Wayne and I spent the day at home. Although it was a hot day we headed outdoors to the brook to take some photos. We found berries and dragonflies. I have two photos that I took to share with you.
This is a Ruby Meadowhawk dragonfly. They are quite small. I would guess that it was only about 2" in length and the body is about an 1/8" in width. I used my 100 mm macro lens so I was able to get this photo.
I have no idea what type of berries these are. We have lots of bushes that surround a lot of our land. I do know that you can not eat them and that they are only about one half inch in diameter. Again, I used my 100mm Macro lens.
This weekend Wayne and I went to see a statue in Concord that I had not seen in about 25 years. We took photos of it, of each other and of a few things that I found interesting. We had lots of fun. Today I took more dragonfly photos and hope to share some of these with you next week. I have not had a chance to upload my photos to my computer yet. Where did the weekend go? It zipped right by me. It was in the 80's this weekend so I was able to get out and walk 2 miles today. It's the little things in life that really make me happy. All in all Wayne and I had a very nice and very quiet weekend. I hope that your weekend was nice too. :)
Remember to stay safe, stay cool and smile. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog.
