I'm a day early this week. I have lots to do this weekend and in order to share what I have created I thought I had better put my post up while I have a little free time. I have a card, a page and a couple of photos that I took of Darcy's semi-formal last Friday evening.
This week I participated in the What If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge J1511. I have never participated in any of the What If challenges and thought that it would be fun......and it was. :)
Here is my card.
Here is what I used to make my card.
Stamps: On the Grow. I used the sentiment. Card-stock: Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Riding Hood Red. Inks: Riding Hood Red. DP: Love Letter . Punch: Two -Step Bird Extra Large. Accessories: Very Vanilla Satin ribbon, black button and twine. With the exception of the dies all items are from Stampin' UP!
This week I also participated in a fun challenge at Soul Scrappers.
Here is my page.
My page was made by using the MDS program. My title was made by using PSE.
If you like the way that I made the title for my page and would like to use it on your personal page or other projects then download it for free at 4Shared.
Last but not least, here are a few photos that I took of Darcy on the evening of the semi-formal.
What a joy it was to see my granddaughter all dressed up and attending her very first semi-formal. It sure did bring me back to when my daughter went to her semi as well as when I went to my semi many, many years ago. :)
Another photo of Darcy and her date.
Here is Darcy with her BFF, Emily. They both looked so beautiful all dressed up. I have only one regret about my photographs. I was not able to find a spot any where on the school property that did not have a busy background. It would have been nice to have gotten a few photos that did not have cars, signs or wires as part of the scenery. But what counts is that I was able to capture a memory for Darcy. Oh to be 13 again!
As I stated above I did have a very busy and full week. I feel like I have been going non stop and need to just have a "me" day very soon. Our weather has been warm and we have had some rain. I think that Summer is finally on it's way. I hope to get out and walk again starting tomorrow and I am taking Wayne out to eat for Father's day. I do believe that Colleen will be over to spend a little time with her dad. Of course that means that Caleb and Peter will be here too. We are both excited about that. I've had a great day today and will share it with all of you in my next post. Until then I hope that you are staying safe, staying cool and smiling when ever possible. Thank you for stopping by to visit me. :)
Oh my goodness, Mary, my sweet friend, this is such a beautiful card! You know how much I love this little bird punch and you have created another stuning card with it. Your granddaughter looks so beautiful!! What a special day and she looks so happy. Love the shot of her and her BFF. Oh, I hope you will get your "me" day very soon...everybody need one of those days...right? Thanks for sharing this wonderful card and these amazing pictures. Have a great weekend and tell Wayne I hope he has a wonderful Father's Day! Hugs, Sabrin
