I have not made a paper crafted card in 2 weeks and I have missed it. Truth is I am in a flare. This time my fingers and hands are being affected. Without going into a good amount of detail it has been painful for me to work with smaller objects so making cards and other paper crafing has been difficult. Today I was determined and decided to work on a card no matter how I felt. My card was made by using the PPA96-Celebrity Color Challenge-Masculine. As a rule I make masculine cards using monochromatic colors so this was a really good challenge for me. However, after I made my card tonight and and was getting ready to upload it to PPA I realized that I was suppose to use Night of Navy not the Not Quite Navy. UGH! Well I am going to play along anyway. :)
Here is my card.
Stamps: The pen Sea and Tiny Tags. Card-Stock: Whisper White, More Mustard, Cherry Cobbler and Not Quite Navy. Inks: Cherry Cobbler,Not Quite Navy and More Mustard. Punch: Jewelry Tag Medium. Accessories:More Mustard ribbon, Vintage Trinkets, and Buttons. The Dp that I used is Nautical Expedition.I also used a stipple brush to add some More Mustard ink around the edges of the Whisper White card-stock. All items listed are from Stampin'UP! A very simple card to make.Hope you like it. :)
This week I also made a digital page using the MDS program. I have lots of photos of Colleen's graduation and thought that I would make a page using a couple of her photos. I used a challenge from Soul Scrappers. I made my title using the PSE program.

I have one more thing to share with you. I bought a new lens for my cmera last weekend. I love taking macro photos and have been taking them for years. I've never owned a 1.1 macro lens and have always wanted one. Thanks to Wayne I now have the lens that I have wanted. Here is the very first photo that I took with my new lens.
This is a photo of a few flowers from our Azalea bush in our Memory garden. The flowers are only about 1 1/2 inches in size. Although I am very happy with how this photo came out I had to play around with it of course. Using this photo I changed the color to make it look vintage.
What do you think? I like the warmth and the color. But I also like the original color of the flowers. I would love to hear your opinion. :)
We had quite the weather week. We went from 90 degree hot and humid for a couple of days to a tornado watch all day into the night and then to temperatures of 50 degrees and very windy! Today it was a lovely 60 degrees, windy but with lots of sunshine. A beautiful day for Wayne to work in the gardens. Summer is on the way and it will be very interesting to see what is in store for us this year. I hope that all of you have a wonderful rest of the weekend. Thank you very much for stopping by to see what I have been up to. As always stay safe and Smile. :)
I am so sorry that you are not feeling well. Glad Wayne is there to help. LOVE that card. That ship is beautiful with that paper. The layout is gorgeous. Your photos amazing. I'm just chock full of superlatives!!

Sure hope the flare doesn't last too long. I presume the weather is causing it. Your card turned out really nice. Have a great week. Hugs n' Stuff, Lynne

That lens is wonderful. I love the colors of the flowers, but also the vintage look. And that's a wonderful way to showcase the graduation. I would never have thought of that!
