Lots To Share On A Sunday Night

Last week I meant to share the invitation that I made for Colleen's surprise graduation party. It is simple and I used the MDS program to make it. If  I could have gone with the paper  crafting invitation I would have. :)

Here is the invitation.

 
 

What I loved about making this invitation was not only using the MDS program but that I could include as much information that was needed.  I have ordered invitations and Christmas cards from Kodak and other photo centers and their template made invitations/cards give you very little room to add all of the information that you would like or need to. I made the invite a 5"x7". I added a flower stamp and made the opacity low . Then I sent it to the back. In order to share this card with you I had to take away a couple of last names and the telephone number. I also  had to add a thin frame to the card because the background is whisper white and it would not have shown well on my blog. I had to make 30invitations. After I was finsished with what I made I exported it to my flash drive so that I could have them printed out at as a .jpg. It cost me 20  cents per card. I went to Staples and purchased the 30 envelopes  that cost me about 12.00  the invitations cost 6.00. Not a bad price for a personal invitation ! At east I  don't think it is. :)

I hope to be posting again before the week is up. I hav something more to share with you but after checking my post I noticed that it was a bit long and I am certain that many of you have lots to do with your day.

It's Monday!

It's Monday night and I'm just now getting around to putting up my post. I am behind on so many things due to some exciting family fun. :)  But for now I have a few things that I have done and would like to share with you. 

I made a card for the PPA94-A Sketch Challenge. Due to my not having lots of time to paper craft I made my card for the challenge using the MDS program.

I made this card using the July Fourth stamp set from last year. I love this set and wish that Stamin'UP! had put  it in the 2011 catalog. Since I have it in the MDS program I thought that I would use it any way. :) Yet another nice thing about the MDS program. Many of the discontinued stamps, papers and embellishments are available forever. This card is  7x5" and I can print it out from my own printer or from The SU printing place. Love it!

I have a digital page to share with you. I made it using a challnege that I participated in at Soul Scrappers.

 
This is how our brook looked back in April of this year.  Due to all of the rain that we are having it is even higher and much of the trees and bushes are all green. I hope to get a photo of it before summer comes. :)

I have 3 photos to share with you of Colleen's graduation day. I took many more but have had very little time to resize my photos or edit them. I hope to find time this week to make a smilebox so that I can share with you the photos that I took of her special day

We were very lucky to be able to get some photos after the graduation. It has been raining here in NH for the past 10  days and Sunday was no exception. But we did get a small break so we were all trying to get photos of Colleen and the family as fast as we could.

 Wayne and I had a wonderful weekend. On Saturday we went to the 3youngest , dance recital. It was a long day but so much fun to see them dancing in their different costumes. after we left we headed off to manchester to find me an outfit to wear. It seriously took me over 2 weeks to find something. If Colleen had not been at the mall with Peter and Caleb that night too I do not think that I would have found any thing. Thanks Colleen. :) Sunday as I mentioned above was Colleen's graduation. She graduated with an associates degree of Business Science. She is hoping to go back at some point to get her bachelors degree. After she graduated and the photos were taken Wayne and I left to get to Mount St. Mary's for her surprise party. What a beautiful place to have a party. I took lots of photos and have every intention of sharing them with you.  What a fantastic weekend!

A Wedding Card, A Digital Page And 3 Photos

So how is that for a blog title ? At least you know what to expect when you visit me this week. :)

This past week has been a whirlwind for me. Wayne and I have lots going on with family and with spring things. It has left me very little time to relax, play or to "just be". Only 2 more weeks this month of being busy and then I can slow down.......at least I hope I can.

 This week I was able to participate in the challenge, PPA-Here Comes the Bride. . . AND Blog Candy!!  It was a challenge for me because I have not made a wedding card  in years. I like the way that it turned out and I hope you do too.

Stamps:Happy Greetings (in the summer SU mini) and Tiny Tags. Ink:Versa Mark and gold EP. Card-stock: Very Vanilla. Punch:Jewelry Tag medium. Die:Beautiful Wings embosslits. I also used, Textured Square Lattice embossing folder, Rosettes Vanilla,Basic Pearls and Very Vanilla satin ribbon.  I wish that my photo had come out better but my lighting was off and I did not catch it until I was ready to blog. No time left to take my photos over. It really is a lot prettier in person.

 On Thursday, my daughter Jen and my 2 granddaughters Molly and Darcy came to visit me. We only get to see one another once a month so any time I get to spend with them means the world to me. Darcy is the one who is still a bit shy in front of the camera so I always try to take photos of her when she does not know that I am doing it. This is one of my favorite photos of Darcy from this months visit with me. It truly is the simple things in life that mean the most.

 

 

This week I was not able to spend as much time with my camera as I would have liked. But I brought it along with me to an appointment that I had. In the many times that I have been to this building I had never noticed this really cool wall in the courtyard. It spoke to me so I grabbed my camera and took a picture of what I was seeing. I call it "The Courtyard" It's one of those photos that you either like or do not like. :)

 

Last but not least is my last photo of the gas prices my way. I am so happy to say that the price dropped 3 cents this week. Okay not a lot of money but it is a start right? I hope that where ever you live your gas prices are starting do go down too. I think we could all use a break at the pumps.

 

 

That's it from me this week. I would love to chat longer but it is very late and I need to get some other things done before I can get to bed Oh!Just one thing. We had a bear in our yard earlier this week. We had 3bird feeders up and two of them were brought to the ground along with one of the limbs from our tree. So no more feeders. I hate that Wayne and I will not be able to see or hear the birds like we have for many years but this is the second year in a row that we have had this bear come through and be destructive. I guess he will have to find some one else to get food from.
