I hope that you are enjoying your Easter Sunday. :)
This week I have a card, a page and a couple of photos to share with you. I hope you enjoy your visit with me today. :)
My card was made by using the PPA90-A Sketch Challenge. A very simple and fun challenge to do.
Here is my card.
Stamp Sets: The Open Sea (in the SU summer mini), Tiny Tags (sentiment). Card-stock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Not Quite Navy. Inks:Early Espresso and Soft Suede. I used the new Nautical Expedition DP that is in the SU summer mini. It is beautiful! I used a very Vanilla satin ribbon and a mini Library clip. A very quick and easy card to make. All products are from Stampin'UP!
This week I also made a digital scrap page using a few photos from Caleb's birthday party. I used a challenge from Soul Scrappers.
If you would like to see my page larger, simply click on it.
If you like the title that I used for my digital page, please feel free to download the wordart that I made here. Remember this is for personal use only. : ) If you do not make digital pages try it on your photos. Have fun.
I have a few photos to share with you today. I used my point and shoot this week due to the type of weather that we had and because I was very busy this week. Yes, too busy to lug my bigger camera around with me. It is heavy! Well, heavy for me. :)
First up is a photo I took of what our gas prices were up to as of Thursday, 4-22-2011.
I know that many of you have higher gas prices then we do. I'm sure that we will catch up with you soon. I took this photo at around 7:30 pm.
Wayne took me to Portsmouth this week. I had a dentist appointment and driving there and back is a good hike for me and I *hate*driving out of my comfort zone. After my appointment Wayne wanted to go to Duston's bakery in Dover. Not too far from my dentist but further away from where I live. So I decided to bring in my little camera and take a photo of some of the bakery goodies. Oh my I was drooling! I wanted every thing. Of course I am not suppose to eat any of this very yummy looking stuff so I am sure that I was driving Wayne crazy when all that came out of my mouth over and over was "oh my gosh this all looks so delicious". Ha-ha.
Wayne love Duston's Maple frosted filled cream donuts. They are known for these donuts and are sold out by noon time each day. Wayne scored 6of them!!! I can only imagine how many fat grams are in each one. Thankfully he only buys them once a year.
Here is Wayne looking happy despite the high winds we were having that day. And yes, he did eat all of them within 2 days. UGH! Again, he does this only once a year.
So that is a quick summary of what my week was like. I have to add that yesterday we had snow, sleet and rain all day. What a messy day it was. Today we had sunshine up until 1pm and what a joy it was to see. However, we did get a rain shower. Our whole up coming week is looking like sun, in the 60's and 50% chance of showers. I hope I can beat the rain every day and get my walk in.
I would love to hear what you did for Easter day.I am off to start my roast chicken dinner. Happy Easter to you and to your family. Stay warm, stay safe and smile. Summer is almost here. Smile. :)
Happy Easter Mary! We had our egg hunt and lovely lunch so I am having a nice down time looking at e-mails and blogs... what a great card. I want to get the stamp and paper! :o) Great photos as usual.

Your card is gorgeous - the white ribbon is perfect against the blue! And Wayne is my kind of guy - nothing like a trip to the bakery! Happy Easter!

I also LOVE the pager you've made for Caleb's birthday...he is such a handsome little man! Oh my goodness, that picture of the bakery..... I am drooling ;D;D. Those cream filled donuts sure sound yummy!! Ever so often we all need a little something sweet and since he only gets to eat them once a year, I suppose he is allowed to eat that many in two days :D:D Sending you hugs, Sabrina

what a great layout for Caleb -- he is a cutie for sure. Wayne is wonderful. Through your pictures and posts I feel like I know him. I traveled back home from visiting my son. Otherwise, no Easter at all!

Great simple card, Mary - I love it! Super page of Caleb, too, and nice pictures. We had a very quiet Easter - just the two of us. We went for a walk, had a nice ham dinner, took a nap, had a video chat with our daughter and family, and talked to our son by phone a couple of times:)

The card is so simple, I always thought that simplicity can create great things that are more valuable. After this Easter I have to go on a diet cause all the meals and special recipes make me look a little bigger than usual :P
