Hello Ladies, thank you to all of you who wished Wayne and I a "Happy Anniversary". That was very kind of all of you. Our wedding anniversary is on October 25th but I can understand why you all thought it was last weekend. :) I will have to be more careful in how I write my posts in the future. It was great getting congrats from you sooner then the date though. I hope to get the photo of Wayne and I posted soon.
I have a very simple card to share with you. I know that all of my cards are simple but this one is the easiest one I've made to date. I wanted to participate in the PPA64-Fall Inspiration Challenge this week. As much as I love the fall my mind went blank when it came to making a fall card this week. Maybe it's because I have all ready made several fall cards or maybe it's because my creativity has taken a brief vacation. Either way my card is very simple.
Here is my card.
If you would like to see my card larger then please double click on the photo.
Here is what I used:
All products are from Stampin'UP! with the exception of the twine. Stamps: Autumn Splendor &
Seasonal Sentiments. Card-stock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and More Mustard. Inks:So Saffron More Mustard,Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede. I also used Pear Pizzazz ribbon and twine. I wanted to make a soft looking Thanksgiving Day card. In order to keep my colors down I used the stamping off technique on each leaf and the little acorns. A fast and very simple card to make. After using this stamp set I realized just how much I really want the newer leaf set called Fall foliage. It is now on my next order list.
Tuesday night I finally made an Apple pie for Wayne. I took a photo of it and will share that with you. I have to tell you first that the pie came out tasting delicious. I know because I tasted it. :)As for how pretty looking it came out........not so much. For the life of me I can not pinch my pie edges to look pretty. Maybe one day I will get the hang of it. The important thing is that Wayne really loved it!
See what I mean about the crust of the Pie ? Ha-ha. I hope many of you were able to make an apple pie, or crisp or bread this fall.
It has been quite chilly here in NH. But we are only a couple of weeks away from November so that is to be expected. Today it was very windy up to 45 mile wind gusts! It was such a hoot watching Wayne trying to rake up the leaves. Poor guy lost the battle. He was my entertainment for today. Seriously, I don't know how he has the patience to do the things that he does on and around our property all by himself. But he does.
Well enough of my chatter. I hope that all of you have a wonderful week. I will be back whenI have something more to share with you. Stay safe, stay warm and Smile. :)
Such a pretty fall card Mary. Love those leafs in the background. I don't like pies, but yours is yummy looking. I bet you enjoyed it very much. :o)
