Hello Ladies! Wow it has been a week since I've last posted any thing on my blog. I have had lots going on and no time to do any crafting. Tonight I put aside some time to make a card and I would love to share it with all of you . I also have 2 recent photos to share with you. I made my card for the PPA65-Bring On the Bling challenge!
Here is my card.
Stamps set:Gifts Of Christmas from Stampin'UP! Card-stock:Cherry Cobbler, Very vanilla, DP -Deck the Halls from SU. Ink:Versamark. I also used Gold embossing powder from SU, Chantilly Lace and a Cherry Cobbler button from the Big designer buttons and on the Very vanilla card-stock I used Champagne mist all from SU. I used red Austrian crystals, gold little buttons and twine. So the bling that Iused is the mist, the crystals, gold EP and the tiny gold buttons.
Try as I might I could not get a photo of the Champagne mist on my card. In person it looks very pretty.
So there you have it my very first handmade Christmas card for 2010. :)
At the strike of midnight it will be Wayne and my 13th Anniversary. As a rule I put a photo of our first wedding photo but I've decided not to do that this year. If you would like to see the photo of us from then and last year just go here.
Here is our photo for 2010. It was taken the weekend before last.
It is a yearly tradition that we have. :) It is always fun to look back and see what we look like from year to year as we grow older together. We have cake at the stroke of midnight and exchange a gift. Then we watch TV together and call it a night.
Here is a photo of our cake this year.
Not the prettiest cake we have ever had. But I said pink and blue roses on chocolate cream frosting and......... well this is what I got. Next time I will be a bit more specific. Maybe I will just go for all white. :)
I have been missing in action not only due to a busy week but because I got sick. I went to the doctor and the medicine I was given gave me a severe reaction and I had to go to the ER at 2 am Friday. It was pretty scary but I had immediate attention at the hospital and was well taken care of. I was released at 7 AM becuase I asked to be. I was sent home with medicine and to be honest.......still feel yucky. But getting better. I will of course follow up with my own physician tomorrow. So between being sick and doing all of the other things that I've had to do I am very grateful that I was able to make a card today.
Well it is almost midnight (Oct.25,2010) So I had better end my post. Wayne will be looking for his cake. :) I will be back when I have more to share with you. I ope that all of you have a fantastic week . Remember to stay safe, stay warm and Smile. :) Oh and thanks so much for stopping by.
Your card is so elegant and beautiful! And your picture is fabulous in fron of those leaves - what a great tradition! Glad to hear you are feeling better :)
