Hi Ladies, I was pleased to hear that some of you really like the new summer DP paper. It really is gorgeous. I'm hoping that it will be in the new SU catalog in July.But for now it is available to you Via download. I used another piece of the Summer Splendor designer paper to make a digital page of my daughter.  Right now there is is a challenge at Soul Scrappers. It is DC10 .The winner will win a gift certificate of 10.00towards a digital download at Stampin'UP! All you have to do is play along. Just go to the DC10 challenge to find out the specifics. Of course I wanted to play so here is the page that I submitted.

 

I apologize for your not being able to see where the top of the page ends. Due to it being white it is blending very well with my white background on my blog. I used the MDS program from Stampin'UP! to make my page. Now I have to work on a card for another challenge that I try to participate in every week.

Personal Ramblings

We have been enjoying some very warm and sunny days for the past few weeks. Summer hit us fast this year. But I'm not complaining. I would much rather have warmer days then the cold days that we get had this winter. I have been walking every chance I get. It's just too nice to stay indoors all day and as many of you may have guessed, I love to walk. :)It makes me feel both physically and mentally good after I've gotten my walk in for the day. Due to all of the different appointments that I've had since last month I've learned to be creative in where I go for my walks. When I have PT I now take my walk right after my visit and the same goes for doctor appointments etc... Many places that I go to are located in different towns so my walks are never boring.  I have found that walking many different routes has been so helpful for me to keep going.  Well one of the things that keeps me going.:) Those of you who walk or run I would love to hear what keeps you going or motivates you.

A Quick & Easy Card

Hi Ladies, tonight I made two cards using Stampin'UP! digital designer paper that is only available for purchase by downloading  it.  It is called  Summer Splendor and it is gorgeous DP. First of all I would like to give credit to Gretchen  Barron whose cards inspired me to make two very easy and simple hybrid cards.

I used only one of the designer papers, Elegant Eggplant, and Certainly Celery card-stock. I also used Elegant Eggplant ink, punches grosgrain ribbon and a mini Library clip.

As you know I love stamping but I also love using digital items to make not only scrap pages but for cards too. Resizing th DP paper to the size that I needed for my cards was very easy to do. I hope you enjoyed looking at my cards. I truly enjoyed making them.

Now, I am off to do a few things that need doing so that I can get to bed soon. We are going to be having sunshine and 80 degree weather tomorrow all the way until next Monday. It is going to feel like summer for sure. I hope that all of you are having great weather too.  Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to stop by and visit my blog.

A Collage, A Page & A Few Photos

Hi Ladies.It has been awhile since I've been able to post any thing. No cards this week due to my wrists not being all healed. I am finding it difficult to stamp at this time but hope to get back to it soon. I have so many new stamps and would love to use them. I have been able to use my mouse so I've been able to make a couple of digital pages and collage. Still, I am limited in what I can do with my hands. So this post will not be very long.

Here is my very first collage that I made using some of the photos from Caleb's game. I intend to put it into a digital scrapbook that I am making for him.

I am still going for my walks each day that it is not raining. Here are a few photos I took using my little point and shoot of my walk while in Concord.

Unlike the town that I live in , Concord does have sidewalks. :) It was very nice walking on smoother ground.

 
  

This photo was taken right across from a medical building that I go to. Who wouldn't want to take a walk here? Abeautiful day and beautifull scenery.  It was very peaceful too.

 
I was not expecting the road to end or to see railroad tracks.  What a surprise it was.:) But it was great! I would have gone exploring if Wayne had been with me.
