My Goals

Hi Ladies. I sure hope it is lots drier where you live. We started having rain very late Sunday night and it will not stop raining until late today. Our brook is a little bit above land line right now and with the rain expected while I'm sleeping I'm certain that it will spill over, I just hope it does not spill over too much. Yikes!

I have a challenge going on right now at  Soul Scrappers. So I thought that I would share my page with you .  Oh and I am giving away the Stampin'UP! heart chipboard book and the new pink brads to who ever wins my challenge. You only have until April 5, 2010 so check it out when you have some free time.

All you have to do is make a scrap page and put at least 5 goals that you have for 2010. Easy yes? Of course Wayne laughed quite a bit when he read that one of my goals is to"shop less". I guess I iwll just have to show him,Ha-ha. I made my page using the My Digital Studio from Stampin'UP! I'm only 6 pages away from having my book  finished for my children.:) It makes me feel good to know that I am getting  some of my books  finished for my family.

A Tiny Easter Candy Box & Two Photos

Hi ladies. I certainly have been out straight this week which is why I have not had much time to create or blog. I did make a little gift for Wayne for Easter. He does not care for candy but on Easter he will have a little.  I look forward to the PPA challenges each week and this week the challenge was any thing but a card. So that is why I made Wayne a little gift. It is simple but I do like the way that it turned out and I hope you do too.

 Here is what I used.

Stampin'Up!  Bitty Box & Envelope big Z die. Cottage Wall designer paper, Eggcoutrements stamp set, Certainly Celery ink  Barely Banana card-stock, eyelet ,designer label punch,Rectangle glassine envelope, silver stretch cord and Whisper White Organza ribbon. All products are from Stampin'UP! I used the glassine envelope to hold the M&M peanut butter eggs. I have to say that I like the Bitty box die very much and will be using it lots more. 

Now here is where I get honest. Please bare in mind that this is only my opinion. I have the Mini Milk carton die and thought that I would use that to make Wayne a small gift with candy. I set about making one and I worked at  folding and putting together the milk carton far too long to make me happy. I love Stampin'UP! products but this one does not thrill me. Don't get me wrong. I got it together but my finished product did not look very nice. Perhaps there is a special way of putting it together that I do not know about?  At any rate if any of you are thinking about purchasing this product you might want to have a demonstration of how to make it look pretty when it is all put together. :)   Or you could end up feeling frustrated like I did. Maybe one day I will take the time to look for a tutorial on how to not only put the milk carton together but to have it look good enough to give it away as a gift. If any of you have this die I would love to know what you think about it. 

  

I thought that I would share a couple of photos that Wayne took of me last weekend walking back home after a 3 mile walk.  I had bronchitis at the time but I kept walking anyway.:)

I love the brush that I added to this photo. It reads "Believe in yourself"  It took me a lot of years to believe in myself  but I do now and I guess that's what is important.

Deep In Thought

Hi Ladies. Last summer I took a photo of my daughter that has become my favorite photo of her as an adult. Jennifer has a birthday coming up on April 7 thand I thought it was about time I did something with her photo. I made a digital scrap page and I really like how it came out. I would love to have this page framed but I'm not sure that I will be able to find a frame that is 8x8". Jen loves this photo that I took of her so I thought that it would make a nice birthday gift to give her.  As of tomorrow I will be on a search for a frame. Wish me luck. :) Oh and if any of you have any suggestions where I might be able to find a frame for her page please let me know.

I know that this page is very simple but for me it was all about the photo of my daughter and not a lot of embellishments. I also submitted this page in one of the Soul Scrapperschallenges. Thanks to this wonderful scrapping community I am getting many books made for my family. I used the MDS program from Stampin'UP! This program has been so helpful to me in getting my pages done quickly and the way that I want them done.

Personal Ramblings 

Not the best of weather here right now or for the rest of the week but next week may just be awesome! It is spring so one never knows here in New Hampshire. I'm still walking when it is not raining hard outdoors. I walked 3 miles on Saturday because the weather was so beautiful . My goal this year is to walk 5 miles. I hope I'm able to make it. :)As for me I will be on the go for the rest of the week. Lots of appointments and errands to run. I will be back as soon as I have a card to share with all of you .
