Hi ladies. Tonight I finsihes making another birthday card. This card was made using the inspiration challenge from Pals Paper Arts. I wasn't sure that I would be able to do this challenge this week because I kept looking at the photo and just drew a blank. Finally, I saw something in the photo tha caught my eye and thought I would try it. I like how my card came out and I hope you do too.
Here is my card.
Yes, I used the bird punch from Stampin"UP! again. I *love* this punch and I have ceratinly gotten my money back with the amount of times I have used it.
Here Is what I used to make my card.
All products are from Stampin'UP! The cardstock that I used is Whisper White, Old Olive and Basic Black. The stamps that I used are: Bella Toile background stamp and the sentiment is from the SAB catalog and it is called Vintage Labels. I used Old Olive and Basic Black ink. The punches that I used are: The extra large two step bird , the Eyelet border punch and the Photo corners punch. To make the wings on the bird I used DP from the SAb catalog . I used a teeny tiny black dot from the eyelet Punch for the birds eye. The embellishments that I used are: a silver clip from the Clip Assortments and I tied a black grosgrain ribbon to the clip. It was a quick and easy card to make.
Personal Ramblings.
I need t o keep this very short because it is 4 am and I need to get some sleep. Last night we had one heck of a storm here. Winds from 50-60 miles per hour. Rain that came down heavy for hours and hours. At one point I heard the crack of a tree and down it came. Thankfully it went in the opposite direction of our home. It was very scary. Lots of tree branches were being thrown against our house. Let me tell you , I did a lot of jumping! By midnight we lost our power and it did not come back on until 6 am. As soon as Wayne woke up we went outside to see the damage. Although minimal there are lots of trees that will have to be removed and cut up andtree limbs to be thrown away. Our brook was at the land line and looked(still looks) like a small lake. All of this could have been worse so I am very grateful . Many, many roads in the state of NH were closed, I saw the power lines down when I went to the store today, pine needles all over the roads and lots of trees down. Over 350,000 people were without power since last night. Last I heard there are still 300,00o people who are still without power.Yes, Wayne and I are very lucky indeed.
I hope that where ever you live that your weather is calm and that spring will be visiting you in just a few weeks. In the mean time make sure to stay warm, stay safe and Smile.:)
