I don't know about you but I've found that keeping everything simple makes life run a lot smoother. I find that I'm no longer get frazzled when all of the things on my daily "to do" list does not get done. I have been busy with every day life and enjoying every moment of it. Well, okay maybe not every moment but darn near close to it. :)
In the spirit of keeping all things simple here is the card that I made today. All of the products that I used are from Stampin'UP! I also made this card for the Pals Paper Arts Halloween challenge. The challenge will be closed on Tuesday at noon time. Check out the neat cards that are posted. I plan getting involved with more weekly challenges very soon.
Here is what I used to make my card: House Of haunts stamp set. Basic Black ink, Versamark ink and Black embossing powder. I also used Rich Razzleberry,Crushed Curry,Old Olive and Basic Black card-stock.The designer paper is called Night & Day and is in the Holiday mini catalog. I also used a heating tool and Old Olive ribbon.
Most of you who read my blog know that as a rule I make my cards using a monochromatic color scheme. But early this morning while going through my SU catalog I saw a Halloween card using the stamp set that I used as well as the three colors that you see on my card. I was very surprised to see how well the colors went together and so.......this is where my inspiration came from. What has inspired you lately?
Personal Ramblings
Wowzer! By the time I get my post up it will be September 1st! I will not ask where did the summer go. :) Those of us who live in NH know exactly where it went. As of Sunday we have been enjoying beautiful weather and the forecast is looking awesome. The temperature will be in the 70's during the day and in the 40-50's at night. My kind of weather. No rain for a few days. yay!
This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of taking my oldest granddaughter, school shopping for clothes.Molly and I both had a great time. I have no idea how many stores we were to but I think it is fair to say that we hit almost evey store in Concord. We began shopping at 1:30 PM and finished at 8:30 PM. She is a very fussy shopper. Hmm, I wonder who she gets that from. Ha-ha. Seriously though, I learned lots of fashion tips from Molly and am now trying to change the way that I dress. This means lots of new clothes. Oh I hope Wayne does not read this blog entry. :)
Today, I decided to bring my little point and shoot camera with me on my walk. I thought that it would be nice to take some photos of the different scenery or buildings that I get to see each time I take one of my walks. I do not take the same route each day. It's a rule I have. Here is a photo I thought I would share with you from my 45 minute walk today. All I did was add a some word art and a frame to it.
Well, I could keep chatting but I do have other things to do before I can go to bed tonight. I'm sure you have lots of things to do too. I hope that what ever it is you do today you will keep it simple and carve out some special time just for you. Smile.:)
