It has been a long time since I've made a card using Stampin'UP!stamps. I thought it might be nice to use one of the many sets that I have. Have you seen the newest SU catalog yet? I think that the company did a wonderful job in offering a nice variety of stamps this time around. I did not know what to think when I first saw the In colors on-line but now that I have them I have to say that I really love the Rich Razzleberry, Dusty Durango and the Soft Suede. The other three colors are okay but not my favorites. If you have the newest colors I would love to hear what you think of them. Wait until you see the Holiday Catalog. All I have to say is WOW!
Here is my card. As Wayne said last night, "It is a Mary Anderson card". :)
The stamp set I used is called Dream Gardens and it is from Stampin'UP!. It really is a lovely set. The designer paper is Razzleberry Lemonade from SU. I used Basic Black ink, Rich Razzleberry , Basic Black and Whisper White Card-stock all from SU. I also used the new Rich Razzleberry ribbon, a silver brad. The sentiment is from a new set called Teeny Tiny Wishes. I can never have enough sentiments so I *love* this set. It is also from Stampin"UP! I used the Spellbinders labels three die set, UHUglue stick and the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder, yet again. I must have about 30 cuttlebug folders and this one is the one that I keep going back to. If you double click on my photo you will see that I also used the Swiss Dots folder on the black strip of card-stock. I could not make my card lighter or my image would have looked faded. Anyway, I hope that you like my card. :)
While Darcy, my 11 year old granddaughter was visiting me this past weekend she saw a digital stamp that I had printed out on a piece of white card-stock. The size that I printed out would be great to use as a coloring book page for children. She asked me if she could color it using my Prisma coloring pencils. I said"yes of course you can". Darcy loves to color and she loves making cards and scrap booking just like her Mimi. :) She also made 3 beautiful cards all on her own and I am so sorry that I did not take photos of them. They really did come out lovely. She left her Charlie the Clown page for me so I was able to take a photo of it. I thought that I would share it with all of you. Charlie the clown is from KLM Digital Designs. They have some adorable and some very beautiful images.
Personal Ramblings
I am so glad to be home. Shortly after I posted my previous post I received a phone call from my doctor. She told me that I had to go into the hospital. My pancreas levels were through the roof, as she put it. So I called Wayne at work and off we went. After 3 days of tests, being poked at, not being able to eat any thing but clear foods (I am so tired of jello), and seeing two specialist. I'm home. One doctor said she wanted me to stay in longer and the other said that I could go home if I took the medicine and slowly worked my way up to eating food. I decided that I would like to go home. Ha-ha. I *hate* hospitals. But who doesn't right?
To all of you who stop by to visit my blog and to those of you who leave me such wonderful comments......................thank you very, very much. It sure did lift my spirits on Friday when I read them all. I was so pleased that you liked my digital page. I am learning so much and having a blast making pages.
Next weekend is my family BBQ. I will be busy cleaning my home and doing lots more food shopping. I am looking forward to seeing some family members that I do not see as often as I would like to. I sure hope that it will not rain on that day. Gosh we have had so much rain this summer. It's as if we are not having a summer at all this year. I have never seen any thing like this. A couple of our trees are actually turning color and we are still in July. Go figure. :)
I hope that all of you have a wonderful weekend, I hope that you have blue skies, plenty of sunshine and that you have lots to smile about. Smile. :)
