This past December while making scrapbooks for my granddaughters, I decided that I would begin making one of me. So I made a couple of digital pages and I posted them on my blog for anyone who wanted to see them. I want to be able to leave a scrapbook for my children and grandchildren to have. I want then to be able to see photos of me and have the stories that go with each photo. I do not have any thing like that from my mother or my grandmother and I sure wish that I did. Anyway, tonight I decided to make a page of me from my younger years. I found myself looking at my photo and thinking Who is that girl? Well it's me of course. :) It's just so strange to remember myself looking the way that I did. I have to say that lots of memories started coming to me. Now all I have to do is journal them on a page and then place the page next to this one. Then my children and grandchildren will be able to share in my memories as well.
I made this digital page using Pure Luxury 120 lb card-stock from Gina K. Designs. The page comes out beautiful when I use this paper. However, I think that I will buy the 80 pound card-stock next time. I used a kit called Essence from Scrapbook.com. The size of this page is 8x8. I like working with that size. I do, however make 6x6 and 12x12 pages too. :) It's just a matter of how many photos I want in one book. I do not have a lot of photos of myself from when I was a young girl or a young woman. So I thought that an 8x8 would fit nicely.
I hope that you enjoyed looking at the page.
Personal Ramblings.
If your busy please skip this part. :) I have been so very busy this month. Due to my running around and all the things that I do in my home I managed to run myself down a little. But I should be up and about again and making cards to share with all of you by Monday. I can not stay down for long that's for sure. :) I have way to many things to do.
Want to see a couple of photos I took of Wayne today while he was on top of our roof ? He had to go up and shovel about 2 feet of snow off because we have a big snow storm coming this coming Tuesday. I sure wish he would let someone else do this work. I am so afraid that he is going to fall. Thankfully, he is fine. But he has to go back up again tomorrow to shovel some more snow off. It was only 18 degrees while he was shoveling.
I'm sure that Wayne will be very happy when winter is over. :) I know that I will be.
I hope that all of you are having a terrific weekend so far. Stay safe, warm and dry. Smile. :)
Plwease tell him to tie a rope or something to himself..I had a patient ( has a tree cutting business) who fell off his roof when he went up to rake leaves out of gutters..it was anew metal roof, and he told me, don't let anyone tell you they have to be wet to fall off of....He came down and landed on his foot, and stove everything up to his brain......he's ok (PTL), but was out of commission for several weeks......
Take care....Susie

I can see why you'd be worried about Wayne - how awful to have MORE snow coming! I'll happily stay here where we never have to shovel the roof! Love the digital page you did of yourself - such a pretty girl (whoever she is) ha!

First, your picture is gorgeous. It appears we both graduated from high school the same year.
Second, Dear Wayne, are you NUTS????
Third, take care of yourself!

Love your graduation pic Mary. Sure hope Wayne is careful up on your roof. I sure wouldn't want my hubby up there. We have a snow rake to do that job. Have a great week-end and stay warm. Hugs n' Stuff, Lynne

So then you must have been a model back then?
Yes, here in MI we have a record amount of snow! They say we got over 80 some inches for 2008. The most snow since they started recording way back when, kwim?
OMG, Wayne on the roof? Please, oh, please be careful.

YOU ARE LUCKY THAT YOUR HUSBAND CAN STILL GET UP ON THE ROOF! WE HAD OUR ROOF SHOVELED THIS WEEKEND AND IT COST $150.00. DON'T KNOW WHICH BUDGET TO TAKE THAT OUT OF AS DICK HAS ALWAYS DONE IT BEFORE! OH WELL, HE IS OK AND THAT IS WHAT REALLY COUNTS!
