I have been busy, busy, busy. I wish that I could spend more time making cards but with the holiday coming up and so many appointments to go to I have some days where I feel like I have to remember to take a deep breath and just let it all be. Today, I was able to paper craft another Christmas card. Although it was not made using all of the awesome stamps that I have it still felt good to be able to make a card. As for stamping........soon, very soon. :)
I have also been tagged by two wonderful women and I will get to that in a moment. Here is my card. Hope you like it. Don't be afraid to be honest and tell me what you would have done differently to it. I love constructive criticism.
To make this card I used Christmas Cheer designer paper and Christmas Cheer Grand Adhesions from K&Company. I love this collection. It is so vintage and the colors are beautiful. When I fell and fractured my elbow and sprained my wrist I went out and bought lots of papers and matching elements so that I could at lest make cards due to my not being able to stamp. So I have lots more to make. I used Handsome Hunter card-stock from Stampin'UP! for the base of the card and the large scallop. I did not like the scallop plain so I used Florentine gold glitter around the edges. The glitter is from Martha Stewart. To finish my card off I used a decorated cream and gold satin ribbon. I purchased this ribbon at Michaels. I think that this card took me all of 15 minutes to make. I loved that I was able to take a little of my time to make this card. It was a joy to make.
Speaking of cards. There is only one spot left for anyone who would like to make a card using my very first and perhaps my last card sketch. You can find it here. So if any of you have 10 minutes to make a card for my UHU challenge I would be very grateful. If it sounds like I am desperate it's because I am :) Shameful, I know. :0
Okay I have been tagged by two wonderful and very gifted women. The first person was Elizabeth from Altered Book Lover. Elizabeth is a very talented woman who is quite gifted in the art of altering books and other items. Stop by and say hi to her.
The idea of this tag is that I have to tell 6 quirky things about myself, then tag five other friends. OY this is a tough one for me. I will then do the second tag and then tag 5 people. If you would like to only do one of the tags please do so. I am tagging 6 people because I did both tags.
Quirky
1. I talk to myself. Even when Wayne is home I talk to myself. It drives him crazy.
2. I can not wear clothes that fit tight.
3. I carry anti-bacterial hand wipes or gel with me where ever I go.
4. Every thing I wear is fragrance free including my clothes. (Quirky but not of my choosing)
5. I will not eat white bread. Is that considered quirky? Not sure.
6. I never let the gas tank in my car go below a quarter.
This next Tag is from Becky of Hemidemisemiquaver Design Blog. I thing that just about everyone knows Becky. Not only is she a wonderful paper crafter and cardmaker but she is also an opera singer with a voice that I can listen to for hours.
In this tage you are suppose to list five things for each question.
Things I Love: My family, music, paper crafting, walking and God. Not necessarily in that order.

I have some new portraits to share with all of you. As soon as I get more time I intend to make a new smiley box using some of the portraits. I hope to do that very soon.
Brr. It has been so cold here in NH. Today we did get to 40degrees and that was nice but unfortunately too cold for me to walk in. I keep telling myself that we have been lucky not to get the snow yet but I miss walking outdoors so I guess not having snow isn't making me feel that much better. :) At least when it snows I will be able to go outdoors and take pictures. I hope that all of you have a wonderful week. Smile. :)
