No card today. But I do have a few pictures to share with you. :) I remember when I first started blogging I would have a few cards or projects to share each week and then I would show pictures of Wayne and I or of our family. September will mark my second year of blogging the years are going by so quickly. Anyway, what I have noticed and I am sure you have too is that I am once again posting a few cards or projects each week. I have not shared as many photos because this is suppose to be a blog about crafts. So recently I started a second blog called Photo's by Mary C. Anderson. On that blog I have put some of my photos but not personal pictures. So I have decided that once in a great while I am going to post some photos here like I used to. If you would like to see the photos larger then please double click on them.
On Saturday Wayne and I went to Shaker Village so that I could take pictures of some of their beautiful flowers and butterflies. We both had a fantastic time. It was a beautiful day so we took full advantage of it.
I took at least 600 pictures on Saturday. If you have ever been to Shaker Villagethen you know why taking that many photos would be so easy to do. I am sharing this picture with you because it is the very first time that I have been able to catch a butterfly in flight. If you would like to see a few more of the butterfly pictures I took please visit my other blog.
Wayne took lots of pictures as well. This one was taken up on a very high hill where a building used to be.
I love that he captured some of the peace and beauty at Shaker Village. Here is another picture with some of the buildings.
Wayne and I took time to take pictures of one another. Here is a picture that I took of Wayne.
Isn't he cute?
Wayne took at least 100 pictures of just me. He loves taking my picture. I never liked having my picture taken but now that I am lots older I don't mind too much. After all what we did that day is a memory. I think that having pictures to share with our children and grandchildren is a great way for them to share in our memories.
Me again. :) After we took lots of pictures of each other and I was finished taking flower and buttefly pictures I headed for the small market they have. Ever since we have had the scare of tomatoes making people very ill I stopped buying them in the supermarkets and only buy them at the local markets. They are much more expensive but so fresh and so delicious and in my opinion a heck of a lot safer to eat. So of course Wayne *had* to take a picture of me buying tomatoes. :)
Note to self. Stop wearing big t-shirts and stop with the bad posture! I really do not have a huge stomach but I sure look as though I do in this photo. Please do not double click on this one.Ha-ha. I have decided to scrapbook all of our Shaker Village photos. I will be using the new Share & Tellsystem by Pebbles Inc. Have you seen it yet? I bought mine at Scrappin' Soul Sisters and will be using it the "Creative Time way". I stopped making big scrapbooks when I began making cards. For me it is one or the other. I can not do both. However, I must have at least 1500 pictures that I have taken in the past 2 years of Wayne and I, our family, of our get togethers, places we have been etc.. I need to put my pictures some place other then in the boxes that I have them in. I thought that this would be an easy and fun way to store my photos and do some journaling. Speaking of journaling. Have you heard about Erika Martin'son-line Journaling class? It looks as though it will be lots of fun.
I guess I got away from Wayne and I going to Shaker Village. We really did have a wonderful time. If your ever up in NH and planning a trip there please let me know I would love to meet you. I am a member of Shaker Village and live a hop skip and a jump from there. Okay I am off. I have a few things left to do before Wayne gets home from work.
I hope that all of you are keeping busy with summer "things" to do. Before we know it our summer will be gone so get out there as often as you can and have lots of fun. Smile. :)
Nice pictures. Thanks for sharing your memories.

What a wonderful day you had. Wayne is certainly a sweetie and you photograph beautifully. Love the "in flight" butterfly. I leave reading your blog feeling such a sense of peace and happiness. Thank you Mary--you are a treasure.
PS--I am updating my blog at some point today with a couple cards I made.

I was almost there last week! I thought of you as we drove thru southern NH on Monday on our way to Maine and the Shaker Village at Sabbathday Lake. Did you know that the last 3 (and one novice) living Shakers are up there? I love the peace and tranquility you find in their villages. So glad you shared your pictures here on your stamping blog, too. Love the butterflies!

Mary,
Don't you love SHaker Villages? We have one lose by us here in Maine and it was a a family thing that we would do every year. My Uncle from Canada would dome just for their spices and my grandmother would go for their vegetables and well of course the men would just adore the furniture and then by the time you walk the grounds, enjoy some lunch it was a beautfiul day well spent. So glad you & Wayne had such a nice day. Cheryl from Maine.
