Today I made a quick and simple card. One of my new goals is to use most if not all of my stamps that I purchased within the last 9 months. The stamp that I used to make this card was purchased about 6 weeks ago. I loved this stamp the moment I saw it and knew that I had to have it. The possibilities are endless with this backgrounder. It would be a wonderful image to use on an altered journal, in a scrapbook, making designer papers or home decoration projects. I, however used the simple way of way of using it today. :) I made a card.
Stamps:
Shady Daisy Backgrounder from Cornish Heritage Farms. The sentiment is from Silhouette Blooms (Kim Hughes Collection) also from Cornish Heritage Farms.
Ink:
Brilliance Coffee Bean from Tsukneo.
Card-Stock:
Natural White from Ellen Huttson and Desert Coral Dark from Prism Papers and purchased from CHF.
Accessories:
White pearls from K&Company.
Tools:
Small Marvy Uchida scallop oval punch and a stipple brush.
Techniques:
DP and stippling.
I did not have off white pearls to use so I put some of the Coffee Bean ink all over them. Not too much color in this card. :)
Those of you who have Typepad are you happy with the new editor that we have to use? I'm not. I can not make my smiley faces red or any other color with out making the entire sentence red. Also I no longer have the wide range of colors to use like I did. Yuck! this is just a temporary thing.
We have been having showers each day this week. It is a little colder then I would like it to be but we are suppose to have warmer days coming this weekend. Do you have plans for Memorial day? Wayne will be taking the wall paper down in our bedroom and when he is finished he will be painting it. I will make sure that I get lots of food for BBQ's because he is taking the week off from work next week. Hard to believe that the grilling season is here but I'm grateful for it. I do not eat meat but roasted Veggies and fruits are good on the grill. If any of you have a good recipe for the grill to share I would love to see it.
Tomorrow is my photography class. I did not do my assignment this week in part because of the weather. I'm looking forward to going though because we will be learning about metering. Sounds good to me. :) I hope that all of you have been enjoying your week so far. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my card. Smile. :)

GORGEOUS card, Mary! You know how much I like brown and you use it so well. That daisy is stunning. I am really trying not to invest in any new stamps, but it sorely tempts me. Hope you and Wayne have a wonderful holiday and week off.
