It seems like a very long time since I last posted any thing on my blog. I do not have a card to share with you tonight but I do have some pictures to show you. They are from my photo assignment for this week. I thought I would also share one of the many pictures of Wayne taking the wall paper down from our room. It took him 3 days to do it. Tonight as I write this he is beginning to paint the room. Yay! So maybe by Friday we will be able to sleep in our room again.
Here is a picture of Wayne that I took last night. I used my little point and shoot to take it. He was more then 3/4 away from removing the wall paper. I did what I could to help him but he kept telling me to stop and to leave the room. He was very good about watching how often I would try to help him. I know he appreciated it. So off I would go and make him his lunch or dinner. My work is always the easy part. :)
On Memorial Day Wayne and I went to the Conservation Center in Concord, NH. I used to go there when I lived in Concord and I wanted to take a walk where I could hear only the birds and see other people walking the trails. It is a beautiful place to go and just take long walks. There is a sandy beach at a section of the Merrimack river that runs through some of the Conservation Center and people go swimming there. Not a lot of people but enough to make you feel like your not completely alone there. Any way Wayne and I went there so that I could take a few pictures for my class tomorrow night.
Here is one of the landscapes that I took of it. It was a beautiful afternoon. I do believe that it was 80 degrees that day. We saw some teenagers swimming and having fun.
Here is a picture of trees that are all lined up in a row. It is amazing to see them up close and personal.
We came across a man who was walking his dog. He stopped Wayne and I to tell us that the trees remind him of the Black Forest in Germany. He had a German accent! He went on to tell us that many of his friends who came to visit him would see these trees and also agreed with him about this looking very much like the Black Forest. How cool is that? I have never been to Germany and will not be going there but I thought it was cool that I got to see something that resembles the Black Forest.
After I took lots of pictures at the conservation I asked Wayne to take me to the Capitol State House which is located in downtown Concord.
There is a beautiful gold dome at the very top with an eagle. I could not get it in this shot because I was doing a landscape and in order to get the whole building in I would have had to be at a different angle. I wanted to take my pictures straight on.
Here is a picture of the dome. Yup, I need more photo classes. :) The dome is so much prettier in person.
Here is a picture of the downtown area right across from the State House. Another landscape picture.
I love that clock! So of course I took a picture of that too. :)
Oh my goodness by now your probably sick of seeing my landscapes. Just one more because this one is called a Fun scape. :)
I *love* the way that all of these boxes look together. The idea is fun and so are the colors.
I also took a more serious photo and it is one of my favorites. It is just a part of the Memorial wall in downtown Concord.
I sure hope that I did not bore any of you with my latest pictures. Aside from being very busy with Wayne being home since last Friday evening, I have been busy taking photo's, uploading them to my computer so that I can size them to 4x6 then when I get all of them sized I have to download them back onto my memory card and then go to Ritz Camera and have them all developed. I had about 30 of them made into prints today. Now I have to go back into my computer and find each picture and write on each one what the F-stop is, the shutter speed and the ISO # is. It takes me awhile to do all of this because I think my way of doing all of this is probably the long way. That is just the way I am. If there is a short cut to any thing then I need to be shown it because I will not figure it out on my own. Ha-ha. I am not able to design cards right now. Having Wayne home and having my house completely a mess is very distratcting to me.Not to mention all of this mess is keeping me very busy. When he goes back to work on Monday I am sure that I will be able to focus more on making some cards. :) Can any of you relate to that?
I will be back when I have something stamp related to share with you. Oh and I will be having a blog give-a way very soon.
I hope that all of you are having a good week so far, Hard to believe that another weekend is just around the corner. Smile. :)
