Oh my gosh! I have not posted any thing on my blog for a week. I am so sorry that my posts have become sporadic but I have been so very busy. I know that  all of you understand..............but I still feel badly for not making the time to keep up with making cards and blogging.  I am so surprised at how many email letters I have received asking where I have been and if I'm okay. Yes, I am doing fine and I will answer all of the letters that I have received as soon as possible. Thank you for taking time out of your  very busy day to write to me. It certainly has made me smile to hear from some of you wonderful ladies.

The card that I made tonight I made for a CHF challenge that will be a part of their one week long Backgrounder Blitz.  Click here to find out more about it and how you can win some backgrounder stamps. I will certainly be playing and trying to win some new backgrounders. :) The challenge is quite simple and as all of you know I *love* to make things that are simple.

I love using a backgrounder stamp as an image or as designer paper as I did for the round scallop that I punched out using the scallop punch.

Today I will be out straight once again. Wayne will be taking me to Portsmouth and then off to the camera store so that I can buy another new protective lens for my camera. It's a long story but the short of it is......................I lost the first one. OY! Thankfully they are not very expensive to buy. After that I get to come home and rest for about an hour and then I am off to my photography class from 6:45 PM -9:45PM. We have homework every week so that is one small reason why I have not been blogging. ;)

I have also been busy walking every single day since last week. We have been so blessed to have sunshine and warmer weather for the past 10 days. Mind you warmer means 35 degrees. Ha-ha. However, today we had a high of 62 degrees and tomorrow it will be even warmer. Our snow has been melting and I am over joyed at seeing more and more of the land showing.  Maybe by the end of May we will be able to plant some flowers.

I hope to have something new to show you very soon. Hopefully your week has been going as well as mine has. Smile. :)

Green & White And Oh So Simple.

What a wonderful day I had today. The weather was lovely! We had sunshine and a high of 52 degrees. As some of you know I am back to taking daily walks when ever the weather permits. I asked Wayne if he would take a walk with me before he left for work today he said "yes" so off we went. It was so nice to breathe in the fresh air as we walked and talked.

Today, I made a very simple project that I saw in this months issue of Better Homes And Gardens magazine. I get a lot of home magazines because I love looking at all of the beautiful photo's with wonderful colors and wonderful ideas. I always feel inspired after I read one of them. My favorite home magazine is Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion. I love all of the projects, ideas and new products that are shown in each issue. I'm sure that all of you get inspired from many of the magazines available to us. :) I would love to hear which home magazine is your favorite.

Here is a picture I took  from the magazine that made me want to make this very simple project.

 

So simple and so pretty. As soon as I saw this I knew that I had to make one for my craft room. I love the clean look of the white and green together.

I had an old white frame that I had on a shelf downstairs that I no longer used. I brought it up, cleaned it and then painted it with a couple of coats of white paint. Most of the scratches are gone and it looks almost like new. I stamped my image on a  5x7 piece of Whisper White card-stock with green ink. I placed a white mat over it and put it inside my frame. Done! Perhaps many of you have all ready made these awesome easy prints in a frame if not give them a try. I think they would make wonderful gifts to give to anyone for any reason.   I used one of my favorite stamps from the Silhouette Blooms I(Kim Hughes collection) from Cornish Heritage Farms. The ink that I used is Adirondack Lettuce from Ranger. The card-stock is Whisper White from Stampin'UP! I have no idea who made the frame or the mat. I did buy the mat from Michaels though.  As you can see this is not an original design from me. But I had a blast making it and I love looking at it in my room. It makes me smile. :)  

I have had a very busy week so far and it will continue to be busy for the rest of the week. Yesterday I went to Stamping Memories and visited with Bette and of course I did some shopping. I  picked up some brand new Bella kids and fairies. I hope to make some cards with them as soon as I can sit still long enough to stamp.  Tomorrow night I begin taking my Photography class. I will be going every Thursday evening for 10 weeks. I am very excited to begin learning more about my camera so that I can take better pictures.

I have been Busy,Busy Busy!

I have been so busy that making cards to share with all of you has been quite difficult  for me to do.  So many stamps so little time. I'm sure that most of you know how that is. At times I feel a bit cheated in not having enough time to stamp or scrap. Then I remember that I have been making at least one card if not more every day for the past two years. I have had my blog for a year and 7 months. That is a lot of sharing. So I have had to slow down for awhile but I will be back before you know it. In the meant time. I was given the "You Cheer Me Up Award" from Rita. Well that certainly made me smile. :) Sorry Rita for taking so long to get it posted.

In all honesty there are so many other blogs that I visit that make me smile. Like Paperlicious. Now who does not leave Joan's blog without laughing and smiling. ;) She all ready received the award so I did not put her in my list but had to mention her. OY! What about Debbie Olson, Ellen Huttson , Liz Pomeroy or Gina K. ? See what I mean? There are so many blogs that I visit that all make me smile for one reason or another.
