Today I decided to use two of my backgrounders stamps on Easter bags from Martha Stewart. I saw them at Michael's a couple of weeks ago and thought they were adorable and would make cute little Easter gifts to give to our grandchildren. The only thing that I wasn't very happy about was that the bags are made of thin paper. I would have made my own bags but I do not have a big bunny punch or die so this time I bought them. Next time I will make my own bags. One good thing is that the bags come with every thing that you need. So if you want to make something quick and easy then you can just use what is provided in the kit. I chose to use my own ribbons and I stamped them.
-Lace Backgrounder and the Climbing Floral Backgrounder both from Cornish Heritage Farms. Classic Essentials Expressions (Lisa Strahl) from Cornish heritage Farms.
Cardstock:
- Perfect Baby Blue and Frosted Yellow from Prism Papers.
Inks:
- Lettuce and Stonewashed Adirondack inks from Ranger.
Accessories:
-Green ribbon from May Arts and purchased at Stamping Memories. Blue ribbon purchased from Michaels Stores, Inc. Brads from Making Memories.
-Tools: Tag punch from Martha Stewart.
Technique:
- Direct to paper.
We have had a very interesting weekend. Lots more snow from Friday night into early evening Saturday. I'm almost certain that we got 9 more inches of snow. Today Wayne got up on our roof and cleaned about 3 feet of snow off of it. I took pictures of him doing that and a few pictures of all of the snow that we now have. I hope to share a few with you tomorrow. So it is now March and this is where I say "Okay enough of the pretty white stuff"! :) I want to be able to get outdoors and walk and enjoy some warmer days and no snow. Hopefully, the snow is almost through with us.
I sure hope that all of you have had an awesome weekend. Despite the snow my weekend was still a good one. Smile. :)
Ahh! Those bags are adorable! I bet your grandkids will LOVE them! :)
