Tonight I made a birthday card using one flower and one sentiment using the Kim Hughes Silhouette Blooms II collection. As you will see it is a simple card but I really like it. I hope you do too. :)
-Silhouette Blooms II (The Kim Hughes Collection) by Cornish Heritage Farms .
Ink:
-Color Box Fluid Chalk Rose Coral and Chestnut Roan.
Cardstock:
-Pink Arturo card and envelope from Ellen Hutson.
Tools:
-None
Accessories:
-Tiny Pearl from K&Company
-Silk Pink and Brown Ribbon from Stamping Memories.
Technique:
-Stamping off.
I decided to stamp the corner of the matching envelope to dress it up a bit. I *love* working with the fluid chalk inks. This is only the 2nd or 3rd time that I have used them. I intend to buy many more of these inks. They go on so smoothly and give your image a wonderful look. I am very impressed with these inks. Thank you Liz for recommending them.
Today, I made the beef stew for Wayne that I was suppose to make for him a few days ago. Unfortunately the main ingredient was missing. The beef! So I bought some yesterday when I did my food shopping. Holy smokes! When did the price of stew beef go up so high? Granted it was Angus beef but.................... anyway the stew is finished and it smells darn good. I hope Wayne will like it.
I went to Stamping Memories today while my stew cooked. I visited with Liz and did some shopping. I think I was there close to 2 hours. By now most of you know that I love that store. I wish that all of you had a wonderful stamp store like I do. Thankfully, there are some wonderful stores on the Internet like Cornish Heritage Farms. ;) I say that in all honesty and not because I am on their design team. I have the best of both worlds. Great products, lots of them and wonderful people who work for both of these stores. Anyway, I had a wonderful day today.......a productive day and that makes me feel good.
I hope that all of you had as wonderful a day today as I have had. Smile. :)
A beauty Mary!!

Hi Mary,
Wow I just love this card and the colors. I'm so into anything with brown right now. I love brown with all the soft colors. Yummy, beef stew! I'm sure Wayne loved it, I know Chuck would. Although he is cook in our family. :)

Hi Mary. This is a very pretty card. You said simple, but that is what cherry blossoms and zen are all about. Finding the beauty in the simplicity. You have done it again, so well!

First off I love how elegant this card turned out. So beautiful, and it really makes me ready for spring.
Second, Beef stew sounds delicious. I made a pot roast today with all the veggies in the slow cooker and it turned out yummy!
Hope you had a great day!
Hugs,
Michelle

This really is such a pretty card Mary! I love the chalk inks too and if you get them in the little cat's eye pads they're fantastic for inking edges and even partial inking of stamps as the points are small and easy to direct. You did a great job with them here!
