Blog Candy Give-A -Way

It's Saturday evening, it's raining here in NH and I am not feeling very well. I think I have a change of the season cold. So to cheer me up and one of you lovely women who frequent my blog I have some Blog candy to give A way. Yesterday I received a few extra  items in my package from A Muse stamps. A Haunting Hello

First of all I would like to thank all of the wonderful women who left a comment for my 10th Wedding Anniversary post. It certainly meant a great deal to me. I appreciate all of you for taking the time to congratulate both my husband and I.

Last night while I was waiting for Wayne to get home I made a Halloween card. I used a set of Stampin'UP! stamps that I have not used since getting them.

I used the stamp set Haunting Halloween from SU. I chose this set because I thought it was playful. Certainly not a spooky card. :) I used Whisper White, Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant cards-stock. I used Black ink to stamp both the image and the sentiment.  I colored my image in by using my Prisma color pencils and Gamsol.  I then added punched out bat using the Bat punch by Martha Stewart. I ran it through my Xyron and then dipped it into black glitter. I popped up my scallop circles and my bat by  using pop up dots and then added a ribbon that I purchased from Stamping Memories. To add a little more pop to my card I used little plastic eyes on the frog and a Dew Drop in the "o" of Halloween.  It was such an easy  card to make. :)

I had a wonderful day today. It was lovely despite the chill in the air because the sun was out. I love the fall.  Sorry this post is so late but I have not been home for very long.

Our 10th Wedding Anniversary

Today, I took a break from stamping because it is my anniversary and because I had tons of things to do.  Most of the time I keep my blog stamp related with a little blurb about my day. Today,I wanted to share with those of you I have gotten to know through my blog a few pictures.  I hope that you will not mind. :) The first one is our wedding picture taken 10 years ago today.

We were married at 7 PM. Because this was not a first marriage for either of us and because we both had grown and teenage children wearing white was not something I wanted to do. The dress I wore was a baby green with a white ribbon on the top half of my dress. I still have that dress.  Look Wayne and I did not wear glasses back then. :)

We have not had our 10 year pictures taken yet so here is a picture of us taken last year.

 

In this picture we are now wearing glasses. Ha-ha. I think that has something to do with getting older? :)

Every year one of the several traditions that Wayne and I have is to celebrate with a cake at midnight. I am showing this picture because I ordered this cake  from the telephone. I told the man what type of cake, cream topping, and that I wanted it all white with the exception of the writing. When he asked me what color I wanted the writing  I told him any color would be fine. When I picked up the cake yesterday I just about fell to the floor. The writing is the exact same color of the dress that I wore 10 years ago. I was so excited that I told one of the women in the bakery the story. She smiled and thought that was so cool. Yes, it is cool but like I said every thing happens for a reason even writing on a cake. :)
