Once again, I found myself turning to the Pretty Birds stamp set by Kim Hughes. I have had a blast working with the images in this set. There are still so many images left in this set for me to use. :) However, I think this just might be the last card that I make using Pretty Birds for a little while. Another new release from Kim Hughes is on the way. Cornish Heritage Farms has been very busy releasing some very beautiful and whimsical stamps.
Here is my card.
Stamps: Pretty Birds from Cornish Heritage Farms.
Card-Stock: Olive, Mustard, Dark Brown and white. I used Mellow designer paper from BasicGrey.
Inks: Dark Brown and Mustard. I used my Copic markers to color in the birdhouse.
Embellishments: Hardware and mustard grosgrain ribbon.
I have had a quiet day and I am very grateful for that. I was able to catch up on many phone calls that I needed or wanted to make. Tonight at midnight I was able to speak with my sister who lives in Colorado. It had been way too long since we had last spoken to one another. Each of us had many things going on in our lives that kept us busy. It was great to here her voice. :) I have got to get better at calling my family more often.
Sooooooooooo are all of you lovely ladies finished with your Christmas shopping? Not me. I have purchased one toy so far and that is it. Normally I start Christmas shopping in August and I keep shopping until the 2nd week of December. Not this year. This year I decided to keep things simple and get back to the real meaning of Christmas. At least the way that I once knew it to be when I was very young. Hard to believe that Christmas is not that far away. Yikes! I have my Christmas cards to do yet. OY! I think it is time for me to shut my mind down and get ready for bed soon.
I hope that all of you have a terrific Tuesday. Smile. :)
Sweet card Mary...You are like the third person I know so far that has decided to downsize Christmas this year...You have a Fab Tuesday too!!!

Good Morning Mary, Love the birdhouse and birdie. Adorable card! I have to update my Christmas List but I'm just about done. I have two gift cards to buy but the store closed for remodeling and will reopen in a few weeks then I'm done with the exception of some homemade gifts for some friends which I can finally get to. Yeah!!!! Going to really enjoy the holidays - my favorite time of year along with my birthday being in December. We have cut back some this year also. **Hope your feeling better soon!!! So glad you got to talk to your sister - I miss mine and we email every week. But it's so nice to hear her voice. Have a great day! :)

I agree with you Mary. It's a great set. I was really crossing my fingers when they had that fun treasure hunt game. This design is so cute. You know how I love my bird houses hey?

Adorable card. I am about 1/2 way through with Christmas shopping! My DH and I usually buy a ton of stuff for each other but this year I suggested that we keep it to 2 gifts each. So, I got him pants and a tie. Is that boring or what? Oh, and a calendar. Basically work stuff that he would otherwise buy for himself!
