I'm Still Here :)

As you have noticed I have not put any more new cards up on my blog since 8-23-07. That's because I have been taking a break........sort of. I'm still here but have been keeping very busy doing some things like catching up with reading my magazines. I still have about 30 more to read. I am so behind and of course  the newer magazines are coming in . OY! I watched a movie last night. It is the first movie I have seen in at least the past 6 months. The name of it is Premonition. It was a wonderful movie. Of course at the end I cried like a baby. :)

Here are some that I still have to read. :) I have also been busy this weekend doing some things around my home that have needed doing. So this weekend I took a break from my stamping but hope to get back to it this week. I have a few projects that I am working on, a card swap to begin working on and an ATC swap to also work on. There never seems to be enough time in the day.;) If you are subscribed to my newsletter then you will know each time I update my blog this week.

Anyone else feel that they do not have enough time each day to accomplish all of the things that you would like to?  The other thing that I hope to do this week is take pictures of more stamps that I have for sale.  I will try very hard to get some of them up by tomorrow night.

I have had this stamp and matching sentiment for at least 2 months. As soon as I saw it I had to have it because think this Bella is adorable and certainly would be great for this time of the year. If I were keeping a garden journal or a scrapbook  this is one of the images that I would stamp inside on one of the pages. Since I am not keeping a journal or making a scrapbook this year on gardening I thought that I would make a card using this image.

I purchased these stamps from Stamping Bella. I colored my image using my Prisma color pencils and blended my colors using Gamsol and a stump. The designer paper that I used is from Die Cuts With A View. The card-stock is Lavender Lace and Whisper White and is from Stampin'UP!  I added a dragonfly brad that I purchased from Stamping Memories and a lilac and white polka dot organdy ribbon. I do not remember where I bought this ribbon. So there you have it. A very simple card  that I enjoyed making. I love to color. I find it very relaxing. :)

My goodness gracious! It is August 23rd! I can not believe that our Summer is almost over. It did not seem as though we had much of a summer this year. Not only has it gone by quickly but it was a strange summer as far as the weather goes.  Before you know it we will be wearing our winter jackets and some of us (me)  will be talking about the freezing cold temperatures. :)

I wish that I had more to write about but I did not go out today. I did boring things like house cleaning and laundry.  I am usually up late every night but tonight I am turning in early. Not quite myself. It could be all of the ragweed that we now have. UGH! That was a bad UGH. ;)

A Great Day!

Today after my PT appointment my truck navigated all by itself towards Stamping Memories. What can I say, it knows where to go on Wednesdays. Ha-ha.  As soon as Liz saw me she let me know that the new May Arts ribbon came in today. Hooray! I have been waiting for it since last week. Well, being a ribbon addict a week can seem like forever. Oh my gosh the ribbon is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S and I bought some of each color and style. But wait! There is more. Not only did Liz get in the beautiful new ribbon but she also got in some more new stamps. UGH! That was a happy UGH by the way. :) After you see my purchases I have something to tell you ladies who live in NH. ;)

Looky at all of that beautiful ribbon!!!! On the left side of this picture you will see orange and black. Can you see that the orange is a ribbon with pumpkins and that the black is ribbon with bats? Please double click  on the picture to see them. You can actually cut  just one pumpkin or bat at a time. How cool is that? Okay so I bought a few other things like the brand new Paper Shapers Embossives. One punch embosses and the other punches the embossed shape out for you. Awesome! As you can see I also bought a new Inkadinkado clear stamp set. It is adorable. The coffee set and the little mouse as well as the designer paper I purchased on Saturday but since I did not take a picture of it at the time, I wanted to share it with you tonight. Okay-okay. I can't hold this in any more. While I was chatting with Liz and Bette and shopping, Liz told me that she will probably be selling the Bella Stamps. When she told me that I had  all I could do to keep myself from not screeching  out with excitement! I love the Bella stamps and I am looking forward to buying them at her store. I think that Emily, the owner of  Bella stamps is an awesome, very funny, creative and all around wonderful person and business woman. I have always had a wonderful experience ordering from her. But how neat will it be to just get them at Stamping Memories???? Can you tell that I am excited?  I could be wrong but I do not think that we have any other stores in NH that sell the Bella stamps.  Okay I am calming down. But honestly between the beautiful new May Arts Ribbon and the huge possibility that Bella will be in Laconia, NH. Wowzer.

Okay so you all know that I had a good day today. I did not even mention that the weather was wonderful here too. It was only 70 degrees but that is my kind of weather. I wish it would stay in the 70's year round. :) Unfortunately wishes do not always come true. ;)

Tonight was awesome because as I stamped a few things as I listened to Bryan Adams, Jackson Browne and Peter Gabriel.I was rockin' to the music as best  I could . Oh my what a sight  that was to see. Ha-ha. I sincerely hope that all of you had a beautiful day and that you had at least one thing happen to make you feel excited and made you smile. :)
