Late last night I began making a card using paper from Basic Grey. Once I saw this paper I knew which stamp I wanted to use and so began the design of my card.
While I was at Stamping Memories on Wednesday I bought quite a bit of the new Basic Grey papers that Liz had in stock. I was very drawn to this black and white design and wanted to make a card using it ASAP. I apologize for not knowing the name of this paper but when I cut off the Basic Grey strip at the bottom of the paper I also cut the name of the paper off. :( I used this silhouette stamp made by Inkadinkado. I thought it would go very well with the paper that I chose to be my background. I decided that I would add a little bit of red in my card so I used a mini heart from a.muse, a red organdy ribbon and stippled a little bit of Real Red ink around the circle that has my sentiment stamped in black. The sentiment is from the Fancy Flexible Stamp set from Stampin UP! I stamped both my image and my sentiment using Marvy Matchables Black ink. It is my favorite black ink to use. I used a small black brad from Making Memories to attach the circle onto the layered card-stock. I used a 1 1/8 round punch to make my circle. The card-stock that I used is from SU and is Basic Black and Whisper White. The punch that I used on the corners of my black and white layers is a ticket punch and I purchased that from Stampin'UP! That is how I made my card. By the way, I made this card for Wayne. I wanted to tell him how much I appreciate his taking me to Portsmouth yesterday and for being patient while I did a little shopping. :)
Tomorrow my day is filled with cleaning, laundry and cooking. I hope to at least start a card but not sure if I will be able to finish one. I will try my best though.
I hope that all of you have an absolutely wonderful weekend. If it is sunny where you live then I hope that you are able to get outdoors and enjoy it. We will be having rain again. Another good reason for me to clean my home. Smile. :)
