Once Upon A time.......... No, I am not going to tell you a fairy tale. :) I'm going to tell you about a new product that I found at Michaels late this afternoon. If you have all ready seen it than you may not find this post very interesting but if you have not than you may be curious enough to read about what I am going to write. After my 3 PM appointment in Hooksett, NH I stopped off at Joann's to see if they had anything in the way of stamping or scrap-booking that I might want. Well, much to my disappointment they not only did not have any thing that I wanted, they did not have much of any thing. Is Joann Fabrics getting rid of that section or getting ready for new products? Not sure. Sorry I went on a bit of a tangent. First I want you to see the picture of what I bought at Michaels.
I did not expect to see any thing different at Michaels today but I like to check out the store when ever I am in Concord which is frequently. :) They had a section all set up for the gorgeous set of papers, papers in a package, Mat Stack and the Album. This new series is by Die Cuts With A View. They have the 8x8 album and the 12x12 album. Each package of papers matches the size of the album that you choose. I chose the 8x8 because I find that I like working with the smaller books. They also sell the papers individually so that you do not have to buy them all. As a rule I do not care for DCWV products. I do have a mat stack by them that I bought last week that is called Far East. The papers in ther are lovely and I thought they would make good backgrounds for cards. Okay back to Once Upon A Time. On the front of the Album the "Once Upon A time" is all done in gold glitter. On the back of the Album it says"Happily Ever After" and that is also done in gold. Just gorgeous! A lot of the papers also have glitter on them and are so unique and so very pretty. When I looked above my head where the papers and albums were I noticed tags that state there are going to be stickers, epoxy items 3-d embellishments and much more to match this series. Unfortunately the Michaels near to me did not have any of them yet. When they do I will be buying them. :) I have decided that I will be making this book for Wayne. Our 10th wedding anniversary is in October of this year and I will make this book as a gift for him. The neat thing is that you can also make this book for your children because they mention the prince and the princes. So that was my great find at Michaels today. I hope that all of you get to see this product in person soon. It truly is very pretty.
As for the rest of my night. OY! As soon as I finished looking around at Michaels, I had to go to Home Depot and pick out a new bathroom Vanity, counter-top with sink and a matching medicine cabinet with mirror. Sounds easy right? Well, it took me a couple of hours to pick out the flooring last week for our kitchen, bathroom and hallway. This also took me a couple of hours choosing exactly what I wanted. My bathroom is going to be all in white with the exception of the counter-top. The built in sink will be white to match every things else. Even my floor is going to be white. I chose a white country looking vanity and medicine cabinet/mirror to match. It really is pretty. Than of course I chose the most expensive counter top there was. I had no idea that Corian was more than granite but it is. And it is costing me more for my counter which is only 49" in length than it is for the vanity and cabinet together. Wowzer! The bathroom should all be done within the next 3 weeks. I had to special order the counter. Plus the men who are coming to do our floors will probably come in about 2-3 weeks. Wayne and I moved out of a brand new Colonial home that we only lived in for 1 year. It was located in a town called Barnstead. Beautiful house and beautiful land. Unfortunately, the house was on a private road and the only way to get to it was going over 2 dirt roads. So in the winter it was horrendous and in the spring during mud season it was impossible for me to get out. At the time I owned a small Neon. My husband had the SUV but of course he needed it for work. I was homebound most of the time. My friends and family visited rarely because I really did live out in "Gods Country" Long story short I was unhappy there even though the house was beautiful and new. So we sold the house exactly one year to the date of purchasing it. I miss the house and I miss the seeing the mountains but that is it. So 3 and a half years ago we bought a ranch home that is 24 years old on 4 acres of land. The land is gorgeous! The house is nice, smaller than I am used to and it needs updating, So that is what we are doing. Next year we will update the kitchen and that should do it . Thanks for reading this. Not sure why I wrote all that I did. Anyway, tomorrow I will be working on another Bella card so stay tunes.
Hope you all have a terrific weekend filled with lots of fun. Smile. :)
