I wish I could have come up with a better title for my blog today but it is 3:03 AM and I am beat! My brain is working in slo mo even with the coffee that I am drinking. ;)
My cousin is having a birthday on Feb. 1 and I wanted to make her a card instead of buying her one which is what I usually do. The Cuttlebug embossing folder "Happy Birthday" jumped right out at me so of course I had to use it. :) Gosh, I really d like these folders a lot. They help to give a card a little more dimension in such an easy way.
To make this card I used Rose Red, Pretty in Pink and Whisper White card-stock from Stampin'UP! I used the cupcake stamp from the Simple Wishes stamp set. I stamped my card with Chocolate Chip ink and than colored my image in using Prisma coloring pencils. I also used Dazzling Diamonds on the frosting of the cupcake. You might be able to see that better if you double click on the picture. I used the Marvy Uchida square scallop punches and to finish my card off I used Rose and White grosgrain ribbon from SU.
As for me I an Finlay heading off to bed. I have lots of things to do tomorrow so I need some sleep. Smile :)
Great colors. I love how you used the 2 ribbons. Looks very nice.

Too funny, I just made a card similar to this with the birthday folder, but used some scrap pink ribbon and daubed pink on some of the birthday words to highlight them. I showed my card to my demonstrator, Dawn Griffith, when she dropped off my order today so she'll know what I'm describing.

And what exactly were you doing up at that hour? Why weren't you sleeping? Oh well, I guess if you can't sleep then STAMP!
