Christmas Thank You Cards

This morning I made two thank you cards.  After Christmas I send out thank you cards to my friends and family who give me a Christmas present. It is a tradition for me and I enjoy doing it. Don't ask me  how it became tradition for me because I have no idea  why. Anyway, this year will be my first year of making my Christmas Thank you cards so I started making them last night. I used the Double - Sided Holiday Thyme Designer papers that are in the SU Holiday mini catalog. Truth be told these papers were not on my "must have" list. But I bought them and now I am glad that I did. I will be making most of my Thank You cards using this collection of papers. Okay, the stamp sets that I used are Peaceful Wishes and Warmest Regards. I used True Thyme and Very Vanilla card-stock. The inks that I used are Cranberry Crisp and True Thyme. I added hodgepodge and ribbon  to both cards. It does not get any easier than that. It took me 10 minutes or less to make these cards. Love that!

Thursday Tool Time - Late

Thursday is almost over  so I am hurrying as fast as I can to get this post up. It is after all Tool Time Thursday. :) Tonight I am putting up a picture of some of my brushes. I use brushes frequently. I have some for acrylic paints only, paper paints, and than I have some that are for all uses. I have my Aqua brush pens and water color brushes for when I water color. I have stipple brushes to add a different look to my cards and scrap pages when I use my inks. I love using brushes especially the thin brushes. I feel like I have much more control over my water colors, pastels and even inks. If a brush is too thick than I tend not to use it unless I am trying to fill in a larger area. Two years ago I took some painting classes. Oh, I did not do well at all. Not sure why I guess painting from scratch is not for me. Needless to say I gave up trying. Stamping and Scrapping are my thing. I have a brother who is an artist so I think I will leave that art to him. I love his work. Anniversary Gift To My Husband

Today is mine and my husbands anniversary, we have been married for 9 years. Seems like yesterday we were married. Well okay not quite like yesterday. :) But the time sure has flown right by us. I gave Wayne an Xbox 360 game that he wanted. The Godfather game of all things! I don't play the with the Xbox so what do I know. I wanted to do something extra special for him in the way of a gift. So I made a scrap page of he and I together. We had the picture of us taken this past spring. Wayne really likes it when I make him things for his birthday so I thought I would make him the Scrap Frame as a special gift to him. He loved it and that made me very happy. I kept it very simple of course because that is my style.  The paper that I used is from the Recollections collection from SU. The chipboard, ribbon, and Inks are all from Stamping UP!. The card that has the word wishes on it is from 7 gypsies. One of my favorite scrapbooking companies.  It is my very first attempt at making a Scrap Frame and I enjoyed it so much that I plan on making more of them. I am calling this a Scrap Frame because I have no idea what else to call it. If anyone knows  of a different name please let me know. Just leave a message or send me an e-mail.
