Many months ago I had the idea that I wanted to take a photo of the new shows that I had just purchased and make them look old. I kept looking at my new shoes and they reminded me of shoes from the past. Like shoes that maybe my great,great grandmother might have worn if she were living on a ranch. Using my PSE program I was able to get the effect that I wanted.
I took my photo while wearing the shoes and bending over at my waist to take a photo of them. My photo was taken in color.
The next thing that I did was to turn my photo to black and white in PSE.
A little dark.....but just what I wanted.

I made it into the aged / old look that I wanted. So by adding some texture, tone, and a warm Sepia color I was very pleased with how my photo turned out. If you have PSE 7 you can achieve this look by using the guided Edit or you can do it the way that I did and simply play around with your photo. Either way have fun with your photos. :)
