Miss You

Today I made a quick card. I wasn't too sure if I would like it but when I put it all together I was pleased with it. Yes, it is my style. Have you noticed that when you look at a blog or  in a  card magazine and see certain cards or projects that you know immediately who designed them? Well I would be one of those people because I have certain designs that are simple & clean. I have been doing a lot of these s lately. Perhaps it is time I moved on? 

 Here is my card.

  

Here is What I used:

Stamps:  Hero Arts Bird in Cage. I purchased this stamp ate Arts Plus. The sentiment Miss You is from the set Mixed messages from PaperTrey ink.

Inks:Versafine Vintage Sepia.

Card-Stock:  Whisper White and Always Artichoke from Stampin'UP! Designer paper is Porcelain from Basic Grey. I purchased mine from Scrappin'Soul Sisters.

Embellishments: Chocolate Brown Library Clip from SU. Fibers from Basic Grey.

Tools:Spell binders small and large Labels, round 1" punch and round 1 1/8 punch. UHU Glue permanent roller and and pop dots.

Finished card size is 5 1/2 X 4 1/4"

Personal Ramblings

I am going to keep this short. It is almost 3 AM and I need to get some sleep. I have a busy day tomorrow.

Have you noticed my new signatures?  They were made by Nina from Crafting in Croatia.  I love her style. I also liked that I could have a bible verse or saying  added to them. Nina is also a new illustrator for Gina K Designs. Have you seen her new stamp set  and digital papers. Gorgeous!Okay, that is it from me tonight.  Wait!  I do have something I want to say. I want to thank all of you who take the time to stop by my blog each day. I also want to thank all of you who leave comments or send me an email. I know how very busy you all are. I just wanted to let you know how very much I appreciate your taking time out to visit me.

My Class Cards and A SmileBox

I thought that I would share with all of you the very simple cards from the class that I had last week at Stamping Memories.  It was a Memory Box Class. Those of you who have been following my blog all ready knew that. :)

 

I love how Dave, the owner of Memory Box has been adding lots of birds to his collection of stamps.   

 

This was my favorite panda from the spring collection. Because this little Panda is holding flowers I thought of all the cards that could be made using it. Like, happy Birthday, Thinking Of You, I'm Sorry, Get well, Thinking of you and so much more. I used two little green gems in the center of the two flowers. I love, love, love this chair stamp!  So there you have it! As you can see all 3 cards were very easy to make.:) I hope that you enjoyed them.

PS. All designer papers are from Memory Box. I do apologize for not putting that in my post.

I made a Smile Box for the photos that I took of Molly and Brian before the prom began. I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as I do.

Make a Smilebox slideshow

If your not on Facebook then you do not know what I did this Sunday. After doing a few things around the house I decided to go for a walk. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. The weather was perfect! Anyway, I was enjoying myself so much that I ended up walking 4 and one half miles. I wanted to keep going but knew that I had to get home to get dinner for Wayne. So my goal this summer is to walk 5 miles. I think I can do it. :)Today and every day that it does not rain I walk at least 2 miles. I always feel so much better after my walks. Just wanted to share that with you because so many of you are always so supportive of my walking.

Aside from Molly's prom this past weekend Wayne and I did a lot of plant and flower shopping. I hope that we will be able to plant them in a couple more days. We had a frost last night so I'm glad that we waited. My mother always told me to never plant my flowers or veggies until May 30th. She was right about that.

Wayne also installed a new door to the back of our garage. It looks Great! So that was my very long weekend. I hope that you and all of your family members had a wonderful 3 day weekend. This week is flying by very fast,I will return when I have more to share with all of you. Take good care and Smile. :)

 

A Red Cardinal Card

I love Cardinals. We have them come to visit us in our backyard in the winter but even more during the spring and summer seasons.  Now if I could only get good a photo of one of them. They are a nervous bird so trying to take pictures of them are difficult for me.  But I digress. :) Memory Box is having a contest using one or more of their newest stamp collections. I of course chose the Cardinal stamp to use on my card. Since this bird is called a Crested Bird it can be used for other birds. But to me it looks like the cardinal bird that we get here in NH. The contest is over tomorrow night, May 23,2009. Visit the Inkollage blog for the rules and join in. I wanted to show you the berries so I took this photo. Please double click on either of my photos so that you can see my card better.  I did make a small mistake. On his tail I went out of the line a bit. :( 

Here is what I used to make this card.

Stamps: Crested Bird and the sentiment Happy Spring both from Memory Box.

Card-stock:  Very Vanilla from SU. I used Vanilla Bean A2 size cards from memory Box for my card base. My round scallop was cut out using one of the Vanilla Bean cards. Designer Paper is from the Fernbrae collection from Memory Box.

Inks: Versafine Black Onyx. I also used my prisma color pencils and blended the colors using Gamsol.

Embellishment: Memory Box Berry pearl stickers. 

Tools: Nestabilities, window punch and UHU Glue roller.

Personal Ramblings

I am going to keep this very short tonight. Last night was my Memory Box class and I think that the ladies who attended had a very relaxing time.  I know I did.

Tomorrow is Molly's first prom. I will be going to her home and taking photos of her and Brian. I will also be going to the school. I am looking forward to this very much. It brings back memories of when my daughter went to her prom and memories of when I went to my prom.

I would love to chat more but I truly do have to keep this short. I hope that all of you have a wonderful long weekend. Have lots of fun, relax, be safe and Smile. :)
