Wedding Cards
Late last night I worked on 2 wedding cards using A Muse stamps.
The first one that I made is a bit more elegant then the second one. At least I think so. As you can see I was going for the black and white look. I *really* like making cards using just black and white with a tiny splash of color. To do that I added the little micro red Candy heart by A Muse. To stamp the Bride and Groom image I used the Marvy Matchables ink. It is my favorite black ink pad. Using a glue pen I filled in the bride's gown and veil and then added SU Dazzling Diamonds glitter to it. I thought the bride should look like she was sparkling. ;) The card-stock that I used is Basic Black and Whisper White from Stampin'UP! I felt that the card needed a little something more other then the white organdy ribbon so I used black and white dots in the upper left side of my card. They are made by I Kand'dee and I purchased them at Stamping Memories. The background paper is Scarlet's Letter by Basic Grey. I *love* all of the new Basic Grey papers and now own them :) I used the Mega and Giga Square scallop to help make this card.
Here is my second Wedding card using A Muse stamps.
I wanted to make a wedding card that was a little less formal. Let's face it not everyone has a formal wedding. Right? To make this card I did the same thing that I did in the card above regarding the image. This time I used the A Muse Tiny Flowers note cards. Loving these note cards! The card-stock that I used in my punched out squares are Whisper White and Pretty In Pink from Stampin'Up! I wanted to add a little something to my card so using a punch from Punch Bunch I punched out the tiny little pink flowers and put a tiny dot of Fruit Punch Stickles in each of the centers. After they were dried I glued them to my white layer. I added a pink organdy ribbon, stamped the sentiment and Voila! All done. Each card was easy and simple to make once I decided what it was I wanted to accomplish. I hope you enjoyed looking at each of them as much as I enjoyed making them.
Okay, I had a busy Friday. Then again I always do. This Friday though I did not stop at Michales or Any other store. Oh I wanted to but I am trying to be good. Driving by the stores my hands were gripped to my steering wheel. Eyes glued to the road ahead of me. The palms of my hands were sweating and my heart was beating very fast. All I could hear in my head was STOP!!!!!! You must go in the stores and buy something. Uh-uh.........I kept going past the craft shops. Major withdrawal I'll tell you. Well okay not too major since I did put in an SU order the night before last and an A Muse order that day. Ha-ha. Oh and now I am debating whether or not I should buy a few of the Copic markers that Debbie Olsen spoke about on her blog. She is such an enabler. :) How can you *not* go to her blog and want some of the tools that she has in the hopes that you will be able to make gorgeous cards too. Here is another enabler. You all know Joan Bardee. She bought some beautiful note cards a few weeks ago and I had to have them after seeing the beautiful cards that she made using them. UGH! Yes. ladies the both of you are enablers. ;) Oh and the part of this post where I talked about my hands gripping the steering wheel? That was Anne's idea. We spoke today and had a good laugh at the fact that I did not buy anything. Got to love Anne's sense of humor.
Have a wonderful Saturday. May your weekend be filled with lots of sunshine and smiles. Smile. :)

Great cards, Mary!
