Chipboard Book
This is the first time I have used a 3X3 chipboard to make a small scrapbook. It is a gift for my husband for Father's Day. I have to say that using this size book was a fun experience for me. I hope to make many more of them in the future.
Most of the items that I used to make my book are from 7 gypsies, Basic Grey and Stampin'Up! The book is from 7 gypsies and I bought it at least 6 months ago. I'm fairly certain that I bought it at Stamping Memories. The charms that are hanging from the book are from 7 gypsies and I *did* buy them at Stamping Memories. The metal letters are from Making Memories. The paper is from Basic Grey, the ribbon is from SU.
These pages were very simple to make. The first thing that I did was color wash each page the color that I wanted it to be. I used E-Z Walnut ink tintz made by Fiber Scraps. Once the ink dried ( about 5 minutes) I then I placed my picture and other embellishments onto the color washed pages.
I used a rub on right onto Wayne's shirt. It reads "For Keeps" This rub on is from one a swatch book made by Art Warehouse and purchased from Scrappin' Soul Sisters. I *really* like using rub- ons.
The little clip that I used on this page is from Making Memories and I bought it at Michaels. I do get around. ;)
As you can see I did not add too many items to each of the pages. I felt that keeping it simple would be better because of the size of the book I used. This forced me to use my handwriting too. I hate my handwriting and use it only when I have to.
This is the last page that displays a picture. Once again I used one of my rub-ons. The finale 2 pages left have some personal journaling on them. :) I really enjoyed making this little book and plan to make more. The next book that I would love to make is of my daughter. Now all I need to do is get enough pictures to make one. She *hates* having her picture taken. Sounds like me when I was her age. Now that I am "old" I don't care. I wish I had felt that way when I was younger. Oh well live and learn right?

I love that 3x3 chip board i want to make one wher can i buy that board to make one are you going to make a kit out of it, to sell, it would make a great fathers day gift or mothers day also...Mary
