A Quick Card

Ciao! I have a quick card to share with you. I used the Dolled Up Birthday Kit from Stampin'UP!

 

I added a few items that were not in the kit and made my card different from the original design. I like using card kits. The are all inclusive and so simple to use. I love that I was able to make a very simple card in a month that has been super busy for me. At least I was able to be a little creative since my last post in April. :)

Have you received your copy of the Stampin'UP! catalog yet? If so what do you think of it?  I'm going to share some of my thoughts about it. And I am going to be honest. I do love the new card-stock colors. Love the design of the book. And as someone who loves taking photos I enjoyed looking at all of the photos of the products and samples that SU is offering for 2013-2014.  But.....it is so unlike me to only want  6 stamp sets from the catalog . I'm dissapointed that Stampin'UP! will not be selling their scrapbook binders or scrapping kits. Lastly, I do not understand why Stampin"UP! is  behind all of the big crafting stores. Example: The This N' That book that they are selling is nice..........but 2 years behind the Smash book. So, I intend to buy the few sets that I like, buy their card-stock and contiune using the MDS program  and move on. I do not want to say negative things about them. They are a very good company. I'm just dissapointed. :( 

I will be making cards using stamps from Our Daily Bread designs, Gina K Designs and yes, SU.  I will continue making Digital pages, using Project life, and I hope to get back to making crafty home items. I need to bust out of my rut and start creating.

This weekend is Colleens wedding. Wayne will be walking his youngest daughter down the asile, he is a little nervous ( I can tell) .We are all so excited for Colleen and Peter. Yay! A new son-in-law in our family.

My How Time Flys

Ciao! Once again, time has gone by me way too fast. I have been trying to find a dress, shoes etc....  for Colleen's wedding (my step-daughter) No luck! If I were mother of the bride it would be a bit more easier to find the propper dress but since I'm not it has been so difficult for me find the right dress. Colleen is getting married on May 19 so I am running out of time. Wayne will be taking me to another Macy's in NH this weekend. If I do not find what I need then I will be going to as many stores as I possibly can. But enough about me. :)

This week I made a digital scrap page of no other than Grace. :) I am keeping up with all of the pages that I want and need to make for her first book.  I *love* using the MDS program from Stampin"UP!  The collection that I used is called "This & That". I love the colors and the designs of this kit.

 The photo of Grace was taken in March when we had our first play date together. We both had so much fun. This is a memory that I want Grace to remember many years from now. Do you scrap your pages for your family? All of my family members have lots of memories that are good and I hope that my scrapping pages for them will help them to remember their happy times as they get older.

Grace and I  had a second play date last week. This time my granddaughter Molly, and my granddaughter Darcy were with her. We all had a wonderful  day. I loved being with everyone but of course Gracey is the star in our family for now. She is now 13 months old, so smart, so happy, and she still loves to cuddle. I hope you enjoy a few photos that I took of her. Once again, I took lots and lots of them. :)

I bought a wooden crate at Michaels a few weeks ago. I wanted to make a toy box for Grace.I  did not paint it yet but put the toys that I bought for her inside. Above shows the face that she made when she saw what was inside.

In each egg was a Little People.

Oh to be a baby or a child again. It did not take much to make her smile, laugh and to make her so happy.

My Card From the Paper Pumpkin

I would have loved to have had an Easter card to share since it is Easter Sunday. Unfortunately I was not able to make any Easter cards this year because sometimes life just gets in the way. But I did make a card usingthis months Paper Pumpkin supplies that I recieved a few weeks ago. The neat thing is that you can use just what is in the box or use other embellishments,punches or stamps to dresss up your card a little more. I decided to dress my card up just a little bit. And the time that I spent was perhaps an extra 12-15 minutes.

 

I used the new A Round Array stamp set and the new matching punch that goes with the set. I also used the  stamp set That's The Ticket and the Ticket punch. I used the tiny heart punch, used Melon Mambo card-stock and a tiny pearl to the heart.

I wish that I had an Easter photo to share with you but since I have not colored eggs or made any Easter projects this year I will just have to share a photo of Grace, not an Easter photo but one that I took in March and her dress certainly looks like an Easter dress. :) I hope to see her soon because she is growing so fast and I sure do miss her.
